Review: We entered into a contract with Dream Homes Professional Contractors in 2011, which included in its scope excavation of our basement, and in 2012 we signed an addendum for a basement waterproofing project. The work was completed in 2012 and full payment was made. Dream Homes guaranteed the waterproofing work with a five-year warranty. Less than one year after the work was completed, we began to see water seeping into the basement in the area that had been waterproofed. I contacted the company immediately to report the issue and explain our desire for it to be repaired urgently - as they gave warranty for the work. The company responded to my first contacts to them about the issue and came to examine it for themselves. They explained that they would be responsible for the repair. I have been emailing and calling since January of 2014 requesting attention, and was assured they consider themselves responsible and would fix the leak. I was told they intended to remedy the situation in the spring of this year, but needed to wait until there was better weather for the work. I've made multiple attempts (at least 10 times) to follow-up to remind them of our issues, and have requested to make arrangements for the repair. I no longer receive any response, and I am concerned that winter will come and the issue will only grow worse. We are seeing mildew and there is probably mold growing under the floor where the moisture and water gather. We have young children and I am also greatly concerned about health issues resulting from this. I have communicated this to the company but am not receiving a response.,Desired Settlement: Our desired outcome is to find and fix the source of the leak, and also remedy any negative impact caused by the persistence of the issue such as mold and mildew, at no additional charge to us. I would at this point expect a mold inspection and mold remediation if necessary performed by a company of our choosing.
