Thank you for your response. We are so sorry that we are not able to take the action requested. We are limited as to what we can do to affect credit report results and reported information. Under these circumstances, doing so would not be allowed. It is our goal to provide a positive experience when shopping for a vehicle with us. Once again we regret any inconvenience you were caused. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you again

I was approved to lease a car through Ubers Xchange leasing, I was given car lots to choose from in San Diego and Kearny Mesa was one of them I wanted a used Prius and they had several available in my price rangeI called first and talked to someone who tried to convince me they only sold new cars to Uber people but in doing my research I knew this was not true the dealers want us to buy new cars because the only ones they have available are at the very top of our price point which is $20,We have the option to get a used vehicle but it has to be under $18,used I told the guy that I was told we can lease used vehicles and so he transferred me to Bill Bwho he said was an "Uber manager"Bill again tried to talk me into a new car but I plead my case letting him know I would not be able to make a $a week payment I would really like to be somewhere around $a week and that I found several cars on the website that would work and be up to Ubers standards and also qualify under the xchange programHe looked at the cars still trying to talk me out of themSaying they wouldn't work even though clearly they would He then found a car he wanted to sell me used that was very similar and so I said yes he said he would send it to uber and see what they said days later he called and said yes the car will work! Come sign the papers I live far so I agreed to come a day or so later In the meantime I needed insurance so I found some, called him back and started to head down I was about halfway and he called back and says "listen don't come down just yet, there's a problem uber just sent over a memo and I don't think this car is going to be approvedSo just wait I'll call u back in a few hours"From there every phone call he just kept giving me a run aroundTelling me he was still waiting Right after the first call I emailed xchange leasing with the link for the car asking if there was some reason the car would not be approved? They immediately responded saying the car was totally fineNo reason the car wouldn't be I called Bill back and he got angry with me saying I'm talking to different people than him!!! And he's still waitingSo at this point there was nothing I could do but wait Might I add this was a vehicle I was supposed to be working inSo while I waited I was not working The wait turned into weeks..I kept calling Bill and emailing Xchange.Xchange said they sent the contract over to him twice on the day he called me to tell me they didbut he kept telling me for weeks that he was waiting and kept bashing the program saying it's really hard to lease a car for Uber because of thier guidelinesBut yet I had several emails from the leasing company apologizing for the dealership and clueless as to why he wouldn't lease me the vehicleToday I went online and the vehicle is now sold I called Bill and he giggled and said yeahit's really hard to lease a vehicle for Uber..I said well that's funny they said they sent the contract over times weeks agothen I hung upI just can't understand why my thousand dollars was not good enough for this dealership? Why are they giving Uber drivers such a run around? There are dealerships up in LA that sell used cars for Uber everyday! But these people would rather set u up for failure with a new vehicleThen they can repo the car and re-sell to another unsuspecting uber driver Seems like a total scam!

First I would like to address and apologize for the delays in communication on our part. This was a complicated case that we were diligently working with
Toyota Motor Sales onThe first step that Toyota required was to have the owner authorize a dismantling and inspection of the engine to determine the cause of failureWe tried our very best to get Toyota to cover this initial expense but were unwilling to as the vehicle is outside of the standard factory warrantySo the owner authorized the tear down of the engine for inspectionDue to the scope of removing the engine and taking it apart for inspection only contributed to the delays in communication to the customerUpon tear down and inspection it was determined by Toyota Motor Sales that there was an internal failure due to a lack of lubrication within the engineWe were in communication with Toyota extensively trying to get authorization from Toyota for the needed repairsThere is a warranty extension in relation to oil consumption on this vehicle and we were trying to get this covered by Toyota for the needed repairsToyota declined coverage as the oil consumption tests could not be performed due to the engines current state of operationToyota stated that the customer would need to authorize the repairs and once the engine is operational they would approve the oil consumption testsToyota stated that after the oil consumption tests are performed and it is determined that the engine has the excessive oil consumption condition then the customer can seek reimbursement for the repairs performed directly with Toyota Motor SalesWe deeply value this clients relationship with Kearny Mesa Toyota and we did everything in our power and ability to assist this client with the repairs needed

Hello- We appreciate the customer submitting her concern and we have looked into the situation. This customer submitted an inquiry through the internet to our dealership on 12/10/at 9:a.mthrough our Dealer Centrix system. As part of her inquiry, the customer filled out
a detailed credit application and expressly authorized the dealership to submit a credit inquiry on her. This is why the inquiry shows on her credit report. We hope this sufficiently answers the customer's concerns and we invite the customer to contact us with any further issues or any vehicle purchase questions she may have. Thank you!

To Whom It May Concern,

As stated previously this decision was and is made by Toyota Motor Sales and we highly recommend that the client addresses this matter with Toyota Motor Sales directly. Their contact information is [redacted] or [redacted] . Kearny Mesa Toyota is in the position to advocate for the customer and we did so extensively while the vehicle was in our possession but ultimately the decision was made by Toyota Motor Sales and Kearny Mesa Toyota must follow the directives given by Toyota Motor Sales. If the client is successful in reaching a resolution with Toyota Motor Sales then Kearny Mesa Toyota will be happy to follow the decision given by Toyota Motor Sales.

To Whom It May Concern,

The client is expressing dissatisfaction with Kearny Mesa Toyota however we are only the messenger and the decision to decline warranty coverage was made solely by Toyota Motor Sales.

The customer experienced significant delays in the repair of the vehicle due to the ongoing efforts of Kearny Mesa Toyota to advocate for the client to Toyota Motor Sales requesting to assist the client with the repairs needed. The ultimate decision was made by Toyota Motor Sales that the engine repair is not a warrantable condition. However Toyota Motor Sales approved a degree of consideration that if the client approves the repairs needed then Kearny Mesa Toyota can perform a second oil consumption test. A oil consumption test was originally performed at 80,142 miles and Toyota Motor Sales deemed the level of oil consumption as within tolerable allowances at that time. Per Toyota Motor Sales if the vehicle fails the second oil consumption test after the repairs are performed then the client can seek reimbursement for the engine repairs directly from Toyota Motor Sales. Once the engine repairs were completed we performed the first part of the oil consumption test. The client returned with the vehicle on 9/24/16 and Kearny Mesa Toyota performed the second part of the oil consumption test. It was determined by Toyota Motor Sales that the level of oil consumption is within tolerable allowances and therefore the engine is not consuming an excessive quantity of motor oil. To clarify the decision of allowable or excessive oil consumption is not made by Kearny Mesa Toyota and is solely made by Toyota Motor Sales.

Kearny Mesa Toyota is in the position to only perform repairs in accordance with Toyota Motor Sales repair procedures and approvals. If we had the approval from Toyota Motor Sales to repair the damage inflicted from the lack of lubrication we would certainly do so. However this was not the case as Toyota Motor Sales declined warranty coverage for this condition. The client will need express their concerns directly with Toyota Motor Sales as Kearny Mesa Toyota has no control on the decisions of warranty repair considerations.

Upon review by our service director [redacted] it has been determined that Kearny Mesa Toyota is correct in the determination that the clients concerns are in fact accident related, affected by non-Toyota...

suspension components or is a wear item and therefore are not applicable under Toyota New Car Limited Warranty terms and conditions. The client had the following concerns: CUSTOMER STATES REAR BRAKE LIGHTS CONDENSE WATER INSIDE THE LIGHT. Upon inspection it was found that the vehicle had been in an accident and water/condensation inside the light is related to the seal being compromised from the accident and is not covered under the Toyota New Car Limited Warranty. CUSTOMER STATES CLICKING NOISE FROM PASSENGER WHEEL AREA, PRIMARILY FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. UNDER LOW SPEEDS BUMPS AND TURNS. Concerns are directly related to non-Toyota suspension components installed and are not covered by Toyota New Car Limited Warranty. CUSTOMER STATES CLUTCH FEELS LIGHTER THAN IT SHOULD, PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND ADVISE. Clutch components are considered wear items and therefore are not covered by the Toyota New Car Limited Warranty. It is unfortunate that Kearny Mesa Toyota had to be the bearer of bad news and advise the client that the concerns stated with the vehicle are not covered under the Toyota New Car Limited Warranty. We cannot bill Toyota for any of these items of concern or repairs that may need to be performed as they are not applicable for coverage under the Toyota warranty terms and conditions. We would be happy to provide the client with an estimate to address and resolve the concerns stated. If the owner would like an estimate for repairs please ask him to call [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I’m not sure how diligently Kearny Mesa Toyota was working with Toyota Motor Sales, Inc. considering I had to call them myself, and start a case with them. Kearny Mesa Toyota claimed: “…the owner authorized the tear down of the engine for inspection.” What they failed to mention is that they told me I would ONLY be able to do the oil consumption test if I authorized the engine tear down. Kearny Mesa Toyota also said in their response: “Upon tear down and inspection it was determined by Toyota Motor Sales that there was an internal failure due to a lack of lubrication within the engine.” This becomes very confusing to me, because the service advisor that I originally spoke with went through my car’s service history and said this was no failure on my part, but of the manufacturer, and he assured me that Toyota would most likely cover it. I would also like to point out that I brought my car in at the time it needed service from the date/distance they recommended. I have religiously come in at every service appointment I was ordered to come in for, and I was even shown, in detail, my vehicle records of service by the service advisor on the company’s computer, which showed each recorded time I had come in, and what services had been performed.
They also note that: "There is a warranty extension in relation to oil consumption on this vehicle and we were trying to get this covered by Toyota for the needed repairs. Toyota declined coverage as the oil consumption tests could not be performed due to the engines current state of operation.”  OF COURSE THEY COULD NOT DO THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST! THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD TO TAKE THE ENGINE APART! This seems to be a no win situation for me, as I was told they had to take it apart BEFORE I was told about an oil consumption test. This dealership should have asked Toyota first about the oil consumption test. Why would Toyota not cover this procedure if they knew and have a warranty extension for this reason?  They also said: "Toyota stated that after the oil consumption tests are performed and it is determined that the engine has the excessive oil consumption condition then the customer can seek reimbursement for the repairs performed directly with Toyota Motor Sales.” I would imagine with all the new repairs and a rebuilt engine, the car would now pass the oil consumption test since they knew about the issue.  In the interim, I am out $6379.89.
I would also like to add that there was an extreme lack of communication I had between 8/18/16 and 8/26/16, and I personally had to go visit Kearny Mesa Toyota directly and tried talking to the original service advisor in-person to get some answers. And again, I had taken notes on each day and recorded exact times that I dealt with Toyota Motor Sales and Kearny Mesa Toyota in the 24-day period my car was at the Kearny Mesa Service center.

I greatly appreciate the thorough response. As I'm sure you know, when searching for a vehicle, things can get a bit hectic and cluster together. I am grateful for you taking the time to provide me the information I requested.

I would also like to ask for a Good Will gesture of possibly removing this inquiry. I understand that you do not lawfully have to remove it, but I am requesting as a consumer that you make an exception in my case and remove it to help me better my lending potential.

Thank you in advance.

I am very pleased with the 17' x 34'-6" workshop that Ken Kosla of Baystate Homes built on the back end of my garage. His price was lower than the other three builders that I interviewed, and he did an excellent job. The construction started in the fall, and he kept his commitment to get the shop built before the snow started.
Ken was very pleasant to work with. He responded promptly to phone calls and communicated well. He followed my specific requests on structure, power, lighting, and interior finish.
I was so pleased with his work that I had him reroof our garage and reroof our back porch, adding a second floor balcony above the porch.
I would definitely recommend Ken Kosla for construction projects.
