Dream Writer Communication & Publishing Reviews (2)

We have read the complaint and find the complaint to be false and misleading. It seems as if the CEO has been dishonest with his team and has placed blame on the company for his miscommunication, confusion, and errors.  Below is our descriptive response to the complaint.  We can also...

provide attached documents to corroborate our response.  Please understand that the CEO has been very disrespectful to the CEO of Dream Writer on several occasions leading up to the end of their working relationship. Text messages prove the name calling and disrespectful tones. In August of 2016, the CEO of No Shots Fired, [redacted] came to my office and contracted my company to do business cards for him and his team.  During our conversation it was asked the information that he would like on the cards. He stated that he would like the names, titles, and phone numbers for each of his three members. I asked if he had a website or email address. He stated that he didn't, but wanted one. We discussed those services. He then stated that he needed business cards right away and asked if I could create his members gmail accounts as a favor because he was not "computer savy."  I said I would at no added cost.  The CEO then asked about a website and if I would do it. I advised that I would at a discounted price since he was establishing a non-profit organization.  He stated that he would get me the downpayment for the website within the following weeks but needed the business cards ASAP. I asked if he wanted to have business cards with no website listed. He advised that he did at that time, and to only order 100 since my company would do the website.  The website would be added onto the bigger bunch later.  The business cards were completed within a week after he approved the design.  He was given three choices plus two revisions as a courtesy. The CEO came to our office, picked up the cards, his receipt, we both signed a confidentiality agreement created by me, and he gave me a few pieces of information that would go on the website. I also provided him with email addresses and passwords for each member.  In addition, I e-mailed each member on their personal e-mail address and provided them with their business email address and passwords and advised them to change it to something of their liking.  In September and October of 2016, the CEO advised me that he needed shirts for the company for their upcoming events.  I designed and delivered shirts for his restaurant that he was extremely happy with and he wanted me to do the same for No Shots Fired. The CEO was adamant in wanting the shirts to be black. I advised him that the logo may not show up completely on the black shirt because the screen printing company advised they could not break down the colors.  The CEO stated that he wants black shirt. I advised him that white shirts would look better, as we did for his restaurant.  He did not want. The screen printing company did the black shirts and a color was missing from the logo. The CEO was not happy; however, a member of his team came into the t-shirt shop and saw the black shirts and told the owner that she loved the shirts.  I was able to get some of the CEO's money back from the black shirts and he finally agreed with me in getting the white shirts.  A photo shoot was scheduled during this time that the team canceled after makeup artist and photographer was booked and paid upfront by me.  Out of pocket, I paid for the white shirts and the rush order so that the photo shoot would not be canceled. The shirts were sent to the team via text and shown to the CEO three days prior to the photo shoot.  The CEO had them in his possession and did not advise his team members.  He then advised me that the photo shoot had to be canceled because his team felt they were not ready for the questions that were going to be asked.  In October and November of 2016, my company shot and produced quality video for the CEO for No Shots Fired and his restaurant. The CEO of No Shots Fired asked about using licensed music on the videos.  He specifically wanted some music from famous rappers and singers. I advised that my company will not use licensed music because of the legal nature behind it. We only use unlicensed music from our library. We use the music that we believe  fits the theme of the video.  If any client wants to use any other unlicensed music they must provide it.  This is listed in the contract as well as my website. It was also told to the CEO through text and verbally several times.  At the end of November of 2016, my company finally began to receive the rest of the documentation from the CEO for the website.  The site was done in December..a few weeks later.  However, the CEO began to, once again, send threatening and disrespectful messages to me. One of the members of the team called me and asked if I could publish the site. We spoke several times on things to update on the website. She applauded me on my professionalism and advised that she does not speak to the team members, only the CEO, but want the site published because she paid for it. I advised her that my company would publish the site within the next 24 hours after reviewing it since the other team members did not. I wanted to make sure there were no misspellings or other errors. We reviewed it and the site was published. Dream Writer Communications and Publishing has never had any complaints against them. We pride ourselves on quality and excellent customer service.  We leave our customers with a great product and experience.
