Dreamfields Pasta claims to be low carb, despite having the same carbohydrate content as similar products that make no such low carb claim (~80% of calories comes from carbohydrates).
They claim some mysterious patent-pending process alters the carbs to prevent them from being digested, however they refuse to release any information (such as their experimental data) to corroborate their findings.

A study recently published in the journal "Diabetes Care" provided further evidence to Dreamfields Pasta's fraudulent claims. It was, however, withdrawn by the authors seemingly due to ethical concerns (which in no way would affect the results they obtained).

Designating a product as "low carbohydrate" may not be regulated by any current laws, as is the case with foods labeled "organic," for example. However, this Dreamfields Pasta's claims are still highly unethical.
Their products cost nearly twice as much as similar non-low-carb products without any consumer benefit. At the same time, their fraudulent claims are stymieing weight loss efforts by those attempting a low carb diet as well as potentially causing life-threatening blood-sugar changes in diabetics.
