I had several discussions with [redacted] about the garment Our position is based on information from DLI, Dry cleaning, Laundry, Institute, which we are members of DLI has concerns that the fabric used in [redacted] ’s garment has lots of problems with colorfastnessThe manufacturer did not use proper methods when making the garment resulting in bleeding of colors We do many garments with bright colors and there is no issue with bleedingDLI position is that the manufacturer is the problem rather than the Dry cleaner It is difficult to know if bleeding of colors will occurThe company was from Los Angeles area who contracted out with a company in Guatemala to produce the garments and then had a company in New York market the garments Upon trying to contact the company, I did not receive any returned phone calls or emails DLI also has standards for value of garments Their standards indicate the life span of this dress to be years and no more than years [redacted] ’s garment was years old based on her comments There can be sentimental value of a garment after that, but monetary value is gone There has been no receipt or sales transaction indicating any valueOur conclusion is that the garment had inferior fabric with colorfastness and was depreciated out with value [redacted] did receive her money back for cleaning and therefore I don’t believe any further loss occurred [redacted] told me she would go on social media and tell how awful this cleaners is and threaten me with ruining our business I told her I could not stop that, however, be careful with what she saidI would take action if wrongful information was put forth I feel the garment had its useful life and the fabric was not colorfast making the manufacturer responsible, based on DLI’s findings [redacted] was also given the reports from DLI concerning the fabric, but chose to put the liability on the cleaners I apologized for the problems, but I don’t see where we have any further liabilities Sincerely, Rich [redacted] Dress Club Cleaners###-###-####

? I am rejecting this response because: Mr [redacted] is making no attempt to make this right with me.? His knowledge of this clothing seems pretty obvious they shouldn't have even tried to clean itHis reaction and disrespect was not professional.? I just wanted to be compensated for my loss and I was being reasonable about the claim.? I paid decent money for this dress and was only asking for $which was about a third of the original price!? He was very unruly and once again threatened that? he would sue me if I placed anything on social media.? He is trying to pass the buck and blame the dress designerA competent cleaning company understands the different materials in clothing, The bottom line I brought a very nice dress in and? received a dress back I couldn't wear!! It boils down to doing the right thing for the customer if? his business or any of the other? businesses he? owns in this small town wants to be successful customer service must ? come first.? His reaction and disrespect was not professional.  I just wanted to be compensated for my loss and I was being reasonable about the claim.  I paid decent money for this dress and was only asking for $50.00 which was about a third of the original price!  He was very unruly and once again threatened that he would sue me if I placed anything on social media.  He is trying to pass the buck and blame the dress designer.
