This is in response to the customer complaint on 5/20/2014 for ID [redacted]. The customer purchased a dress in the amount of $398 her alterations were $70 for the hem and the cups were $20 (cost of the cups). Totaling $90. Customer was given a pick up date of 5/5/2014. that everyone tries on the dresses before they leave. And as she stated everything was fine. Our seamstress only comes out of the back if there is a problem, so if the customer left with the dress that means that she and her daughter where satisfied. If the dress was frayed as stated in the complaint it would have been visible to her and our staff at the time of pick-up. Again the customer never brought back the dress for us to see. As for the cups they don't get sewn all the way around only the top and we must have forgotten to take the pin out. We apologize for the no return call as that is not the way we conduct business. When she came in that Monday our manger was apologetic and stated that we needed to see the dress so that we could make a determination on how to handle the problem but the dress was never brought in. We will be more than happy to repair the prom dress that has already been worn so that she can have it perfect for future use. Please find copy of the receipts attached of all policies and signatures.Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a prom gown for my daughter the gowns price was 395.00, they then charged me an additional $20.00 for cups to be inserted, and an additional $90.00 for alterations, with taxes, this gown cost me over $500.00. My daughter went for a fitting because the bottom was lace, the seamstress just cut it right there at the fitting, the gown was a perfect fit, so no other alterations needed to be done besides the cups to be inserted. mind you this alteration price was $90.00. we picked the gown up the seamstress did not come out of office to recheck anything we were just helped by the saleswoman, we knew the gown already fit my daughter tried it on and we left. The prom was out of town, during pictures my daughter turned around and the back at the bottom was frayed from just being cut, ok my daughter started to cry, there was a neighbor that had saw what was going on and was able to take the gown into her home and fix it. at that time she notice a large seamstress pin stuck in the top where the cups should have been sewn in, when she removed it the cup on the left side wss never sewn in, then she noticed that some of the beads were coming loose on the dress. I tried t call the store but it had already closed for the night and we were not in town anyway, but I wanted to let tem know what was happening, this was a Saturday they did not reopen until Monday, I went into the store first thing Monday morning, and spoke wit a woman who told me the owner would be in touch, I called 3 more times and no one ever called my back. I work very hard for my money, and thank goodness for a good hearted neighbor that was willing to help, all I wanted was the alteration fee returned, I thought that was fair. and I could not even get a phone call returned from them, the customer service at this business is horrible, no care at all for their clients. I may be taking this to small claims court now for my total expenses refunded.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $90.00 for the alterations.
