Review: I took my vehicle to Drew's Auto Service on Friday September 12th for a brake inspection. Drew's mechanic cut down my front rotors and installed new brake pads. When I was driving back from the shop, I noticed a very bad "brake growl". I called Drew and he said that was normal and to drive on it for a few days and if the noise came back, he'd back up his service. I called him on Monday, September 15th and made an appointment to bring in my car on Wednesday, September 17th at 8:00am. He told me he would not be able to get to my car until 3pm that day and I even asked him to take 5 minutes to put the car on the rack and/or test drive it to find out what was wrong but he would not do it. He told me to come back Friday at 10am even though I told him I would wait for the car on Wednesday. The next day, I got a second opinion from a certified mechanic and it was determined that the rotors were not cut properly and were NEVER finished ("honing") which caused the bad brake growl. The wrong pads were installed too. Since the job was not done properly, I had to pay to get new rotors and different pads. If my vehicle would have been test driven initially (after the rotors were cut) he would have heard the noise and knew there was a problem. Not only was the job done poorly, the service throughout was lousy and I wound up having to pay more money than I had budgeted for. I will never take my vehicle to this shop again.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $145 due to the fact that the brake job was not performed correctly and the service and attention to the matter once there was a problem was poor.
