I paid them to switch an engine out. They had my vehicle for approximately 8 months and during that time they would contact me and say that they needed more parts and I would buy the requested parts out of my pocket and supply them with the part. All during this 8 months, I would ask for a status and would be told that it would be ready in a week or ready the next day but every time I would go to the shop to pick up the vehicle, thinking it was ready, it would be up on the racks or they would say, "sorry, it's not ready".

One time, they told me it was ready so I had it towed to the muffler shop for additional work, the employees at the muffler shop told me they couldn't work on the muffler because there were cables and wires hanging out from underneath the dashboard and the engine was not in a condition for a muffler to be installed. They did not want to work on the vehicle because they could not guarantee their work because of the condition of the engine.

I finally gave up and went over to the shop to take back possession of my vehicle and when I drove it home, the brakes didn't work, no coolant in the engine, no power steering fluid, and no transmission fluid. He had left my vehicle in the parking lot with the keys in the ignition after the close of business. Also, after I got it home, they next day I tried to start the vehicle and something exploded out of the engine. I found a can of "white gas" inside my vehicle.

I have receipts and text messages documenting my experiences and I am asking Revdex.com to help me to verify that this business has a license to repair vehicles and I would also like help in getting my $*** refunded.

First of all this truck is an 1974 international scout 2 in which he wanted a gm 350 engine installed the vehicle came to the shop with no engine on the back of a tow truck. Then a month later the Used engine showed up that was provided by the customer, I inspected the Engine and it had a bent push rod and the vehicle sat in my parking lot with no engine and the Blown engine in my shop for another 3 months so right off the back thats 4 months that that I was unable to even work on the vehicle. Then I had to help the customer get his money back from the prior shop which he has shown no appreciation for. After another month the engine shows up that he orderd and then I can finally actually start to repair the vehicle. He did not supply me with all the parts needed and many parts had to be fabricated which is always an extremely time consumuing and expensive process a very high labor rate due to unavailiblity and the fact that a gm engine is being installed into a 1974 Scout 2 body. The muffler shop stated that wires hanging underneath the dashboard prevented the muffler from being installed, that makes no sense at all. So he brought back the scout and we did all the exhaust work for free in an attempt to make the customer happy but still he would threaten the company lawsuits and other threats. Then he said he wanted the power steering bracket installed again with goodwill to satisfy the customer We fabricated the bracket and installed the pump again bracket never paid for and all my own supplies labor and time to make the customer happy. The brakes were never even part of the repair work to be performed but the lines in the front were leaking and I put new lines on apart from the other parts that he authorized and never paid for I would call the customer for all the upgrades and to get authorization for installation of parts and he would say thats fine go ahead and when it came time to pay the bill he stated I dont have to pay you anything. When I finally had had enough of doing repairs and supplying parts that I was not paid for I told him to come get the vehicle the car was in the parking lot a 3:00 pm and he walked up to the vehicle and took it from the parking lot without saying anything and drove off.
Considering that I made no money on the job supplied hundreds of dollars of free parts performed the service at a very reasonable price and repaired and replaced components that were never apart of the original work agreed upon because I do anything to make my customers feel satisfied and content. I feel that this customer is extremely unreasonable in the whole matter. I have a license to repair vehicles and I cannot refund money that was far less than what I should have received.
