Review: Last year, I had experienced a very difficult point in my life. My grandmother was slowly dying of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, non-small cell carcinoma, colon cancer, and a brain tumor. My grandmother and I were very close, and this loss had caused me a lot of distress which had adversely affected my academic performance. Understandably I believed that I was no longer eligible for financial aid for this upcoming year; however, five separate representatives of Drexel's Financial Aid department had told me that my specific case had been reviewed, and that Drexel University was going to award me aid for the 2013-2014 academic year. For a month, I had received these promises of aid from Drexel's Financial Aid department. Last week on 11 September 2013, I had finally received my aid in my Drexel One account after weeks of waiting; however, the day after receiving the aid (Thursday 12 September 2013), I'd received an e-mail from Drexel's Financial Aid department declaring that they were going to revoke my aid. I had called immediately the number to which I was directed to if I had any problems, and the financial aid department assured me that the e-mail was incorrect and that I would still be receiving an ACH refund on Monday 16 September 2013. The representative had then suggested that I e-mail Ask Drexel if I had any further questions on the issue, and I would receive a response no later than two business days; I had done this immediately on Thursday 12 2013. On Monday 16 September 2013, a financial aid representative had assured me that the refund would be dispersed that afternoon, and to disregard the e-mail which I had received because it was in error; the money was still in my Drexel One account. Today 17 September 2013, I had checked into my account during the afternoon, and was shocked to find that my account was empty. I want to know why did Drexel's Financial Aid department promise me financial aid stating that a meeting was held to discuss my situation, and the decision to award me aid for the 2013-2014 school year? I want to know why did Drexel's Financial Aid department reverse this decision after giving me financial aid, and having it's representatives assure me that aid was coming? I want to know why am I not getting a clear answer on this matter, and am being handled in a very disrespectful and haphazard manner which has essentially wasted my time for nearly two months?Desired Settlement: I want to receive the aid money which I have been promised by seven of the representatives of your Financial Aid department so that I can complete my degree at Drexel University.
