Review: Dr. [redacted] advised me that the particular new hearing aides that he recommended would be a significant improvement over my current hearing aides due to the newer technology. He also assured me that this particular hearing aide would have sufficient power and volume to cover my particular hearing loss according to the hearing tests that he had performed on me. The new hearing aides were the Starleu Ignite CIC model. I agreed to order the new hearing aides based on Dr [redacted]'s recommendations. I was required to put down a $400.00 deposit against a purchase price of $4400.00. When I came to Dr [redacted]'s office a few days later to be fitted with the new hearing aides it turned out that they could not produce enough volume for me to hear a conversation even when adjusted to maximum volume. I told Dr. [redacted] that these hearing aides were unacceptable to me and that I could not take delivery of them. Dr [redacted] informed that if I did not accept the hearing aides or order another type from him I would forfeit my $400.00 deposit and be liable for an additional %5 of the purchase price as a restocking fee. I am not willing to do further business with Dr [redacted] due to his misrepresentation of the product he recommended to me. I find this type of business practice totally unacceptable and a case of bait and switch consumer fraud. I am requesting the return of my $400.00 deposit and refuse to do further business with this company to their outright dishonesty.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of my $400.00 deposit.
