First, I will say, the gentlemen from Dri Masters were respectful and courteous to me. Thank you.
The problem that I had with the serve supplied was the technique used to "clean" my carpets. A liquid was sprayed on my carpets followed by the use of a double barrel machine with agitating brushes. The solution and brushes were supposed to lift up deep down dirt and debris that my vacuum could not reach on its own. In theory, the liquid would trap the lifted dirt in it as it dried to crystals. I was told the drying process would take approximately 2-4 hours. Afterward, I was to vacuum my carpets removing the dried, dirt filled, crystals.
As with any vacuuming, some of the dirt being picked by the vacuum gets sprayed into the air, thus landing back onto the "cleaned" carpet. Because of this, I use a vacuum cleaner that has a hepa filter and micro filtration bags designed for high filtration. As I was vacuuming the carpets, I was having severe allergy problems. Additionally, after 6 hours, the carpet was still damp in places. and now, over 24 hours later, the carpet has a filmy feeling to it.
I hired this carpet cleaning company in the hopes the dirt and allergens would be removed from my carpet via a professional extraction machine. To my surprise and disappointment, this company does not actually do any extraction of the dirt in the carpets. It facilitates the customer to do a more thorough vacuuming. That's it!
I am very disappointed by the technique used to treat my carpets. I chose this company because I wanted clean carpets without the risk of mold. I do not believe there is any chance I will have a mold problem from the use of this company, but I also do not have clean carpets either.
