Complaint Information:
In response to the first issue of the complaint that a dent on the car has not been repaired, I found a handwritten note on the preliminary purchase order " fix dent in the side"The notation was not on the final purchase order and I did not find any record of having repaired a dentWe would be happy to have the dent in question repaired if the customer shows me where the dent is and leaves the car with usIn response to the second issue of the recurrent noisiness of the rear wheel bearing, we replaced the noisy bearing and brake drums ( the rear wheel bearing is pressed into the brake drum on this vehicle) and when it failed multiple times, we replaced the drums with parts from a different supplier to repair the problemIn response to the third issue that there was a noise when the customer took delivery of the vehicle on Saturday, Sept12, there was a screeching noise from the drive beltA rubber coolant cap on a port on the radiator had split and squirted coolant on the drive belt, causing the screeching noiseThe plug had either split at the end of our final test drive or when the customer started the car up when picking up the car because there was no screeching heard on any of our test drivesWe replaced the split cap and the drive belt at no cost to the customerIn addition, for the customer's inconvenience, we delivered the vehicle from Hartford CT to the customer in Providence RI ( a round trip distance of miles)We paid employees for hours each and paid for gas for both the customer's car and the chase car for the tripIn response to the fourth issue that we will not allow her top take the car to another shop, that is falseThe customer is free to get the vehicle repaired wherever she choosesthe warranty does require, however that any warranty repairs be repaired at our facility and no reimbursement will be given for warranty repairs done elsewhereIn response to the final issue that we are breaking her car to make money off of her, that is simply not the case at allAny comeback work has been done at no cost to the customerThe car was driven miles before there was an issue and we have covered multiple repairs that were not covered in the warranty and the customer has driven the car for miles as of the last repair visitthat was the first time the customer had been charged anything for an uncovered repairI have also emailed supporting documents for this response to *** These documents are all of the repair orders for this vehicle with our cost of parts( not including labor) shown as customer discount and the amount the customer was charged, shown as total dueI have also attached a copy of the driving directions for the delivery of the customer vehicle and the declaration page of covered items in the warrantyWe feel that we have gone above and beyond the warranty terms for this customer and a buyback is not warranted at this time

PAY FOR THE DAMAGES

Review: Autoflow financing is a corrupt business who act unprofessional and unethically in their business.

I purchased a vehichle back in 2011 from Drive Auto Group, an affiliate of Autoflow. I maintained and paid each week for two years until I recently traded in the vehicle this past June. The vehicle was traded in at a Middletown dealership whom sent in a check to pay it off. As the payments are taken out weekly, I figured it could take a week or so to completely clear and the finance group would cease taking payments from my account. After 3 weeks I called them to see if the vehicle was actually paid off since three more payments had been taken from my account. The dealership had ensured to me the check was sent immediately after I completed my paperwork upon trading it in.

I called Auto flow to talk to someone and [redacted] answered. I had never spoken to anyone there before and as he answered he was extremely rude to me saying that the dealership needed to send a bank check and not a dealership check. Therefore the check was sent back to them. He spoke to me like it was my fault and that I knew they needed a bank check. I told him he needed to correct his attitude since I am a customer, there was no need to give me an attitude. After getting off the phone with him I contacted the dealership and they told me that he was never told nor had they sent back the check, they had to do a stop payment and get a new check for Autoflow. A week later the payments ceased so I figured the car was finally paid off. In between that week the fourth payment was taken out. Therefore, they owe me a majority of those four payments back. Perhaps less a small piece of interest.

I figured it may take a few weeks for them to process a check to come back to me so I didnt think anything of it. However it is now over a month and no reimbursement has been made. I called again and got [redacted]. I explained the situation to him and he explained to me that he couldnt help me that I would need to speak to [redacted]. He forwarded me to her voice mail. He told me that she was in that week, however an entire week went by and I didnt hear back. Even calling and leaving three messages over the week.

I call that Friday to speak to a [redacted]. She tells me to hold on and puts me through to [redacted] answers and asks my name and says "oh ya...hold on" again I get [redacted]'s voicemail. At this point I am so mad beyond belief I hang up and call back. [redacted] answers and I explain to her that I am sick of voicemails, not to put me through to [redacted] and that I am very upset. She explains to me that she is just in collections and that the person I should really speak to is [redacted]. That [redacted] doesnt call people back. She also informs me that [redacted] is out but to leave her a voicemail and that she would get back to me on Tuesday. So I leave [redacted] a voicemail,...it is now Tuesday and no call back.

I called again today at 1:45, during normal business hours, and no one answers. I am starting to think that they are screening calls and not answering. I left [redacted] a very nasty voicemail and will be waiting. In the meantime, I am calling the Revdex.com.

This company is run unprofessionally and I will make sure to get my money back, whatever it takes. Dont buy a vehicle at Drive auto group!!!!Desired Settlement: I just want to be reimbursed for the payments taken after the payoff was made. I am certain that four payments did not constitute as interest. They also owe me an apology for having to call so many times and leave messages without a response.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/08/30) */

I would like to respond to this complaint. Ms [redacted] did have a payoff of her vehicle made by a Dealership. The problem with the check was that it was a personal check drawn on the business. We do not except personal checks. That is why a bank check was requested. We have since resolved the problem. A check for the overpayment was issued 0n 8/27/2013 and mailed to the customer on 8/27/2013. I am sorry if Ms. [redacted] feels that she was disrespected in anyway.

Review: Drive Auto Group is the worst car company I have ever had experience with. I purchased my vehicle on March 2013. Not even a week later, the next Thursday to be exact, the car started making really horrid noises, coming from the passenger side. Each noise was different; varying from sounding like something was dragging underneath the car, to sounding like a flat tire, sounding like something is rubbing the wheels as I turn, etc. etc. I had brought the car in for servicing, Monday the 30th, as this was the soonest I could get it in, and by this point the noises were worse. Keep in mind these noises were not 24.7 but often enough to know there was a problem. Even though I had bought warranty I had to pay to fix the problem. They stated there was brake pad and rotor issues, which they did not replaced, the tranny mounts had issues, replaced that, sliders were frozen, freed those up and greased them and fixed the burnt out signal light. However, just starting the vehicle is was acting odd, I drove it down the road, not even a mile away and the car started shaking/vibrating pretty bad, however Drive Auto was now closed, and in order to make the weekly payments for this car, I had to go to work. I had to drive around in a car that they fixed yet made worse, it shook, it did not want to pick up speed, does not maintain speed, and revs/idles really high. Just doing 20 MPH, the RPM is at 2 and doesnt move. When driving on the highway the RPM stays between 2-3 and speeding up, it quickly shoots to 4 or 5. So I brought the car in AGAIN on 2/6/12, exactly one week from the last day I brought it in. I had pay for them to fix my bumper because they sell me the car like that and they take my money and didn't fix it. They charge 3x the amount of what the car rental price. The car had high milage.dont know how they are still in business worse car company everDesired Settlement: They take advantage of people who don't know nothing about car I want my money back.

Review: I picked up my truck 2/24/13 there has been nothing but problems with it.

My truck spends more time in there shop them with me most of the time the same problem. Now my truck will not even go into gear anymore it just cant move. Now they tell me that the shop in vernon is closing so I will have to start going to hartfor all the time for these crazy repairs. I did not sign up for that. Im making my paments for a trucck that doesnt work a lot of the time. I only have one truck I miss work and other things just to try and have this thing fixed. This last time that I was in they had the truck all day then at the end of the day they handed me a pice of paper telling me that they did nothing. Why do I pay good money for nothing !!! Drive auto in vernon does nothing and now [redacted] will not even talk to me and there the bank taking my moneyDesired Settlement: I dont know the law but I want my money back or my truck to work or be replace Im sick of missing work to have nothing done.
