On May 22, 2017 we did in fact have correspondence with Mr. [redacted] and requested the serial number to his shell be sent to us. The serial number, printed on the metal plate just inside the door, was never provided so we could properly contact the manufacturer’s warranty department. ...
Generally if a customer is interested in pursuing a situation they will obtain the information we’ve requested & get back with us. We did not hear from Mr. [redacted] until this complaint was filed, nor did we hear from Mark at [redacted]. We are more than willing to work through this situation, but the first step would be to check the alignment of the shell or this will happen again after the tailgate is fixed. I do believe the lack of communication and incorrect information provided to us from Mark at Lamb has escalated this situation. Moving forward, we do not want & cannot communicate with Mark. Mr. [redacted], you are the original purchaser of the shell & the warranty provided is to you, not Mark at Lamb. His perceived involvement has just made this situation worse. I would also like to address the first shell being ordered incorrectly. NO ONE at our location ever saw Mr. [redacted]’s vehicle at the time of order or prior. All of the vehicle information was provided by Mark at Lamb, which proved to be incorrect. We regret that Mr. [redacted] had to wait to have another shell made. Had Mark brought the truck to us, the correct shell would have been ordered. Mr. [redacted], we apologize that there was an obvious communication breakdown and we will work with you to take care of this issue, but we have to align the shell that has obviously moved after installation. You state that you “don’t want this outfit near the truck again”, but unfortunately this is the first step to correct the situation. Having your truck fixed prior to the alignment being corrected is absolutely pointless!
This issue was resolved with Mr. [redacted] via phone on the morning of Sept. 22nd. Please see the attached emails. If security video is needed of Mr. [redacted]'s inspection of the shell, this can be provided. We have not heard from him as of today 9-30-16.
