Review: Original date of service was Oct-30th. Driveway armor had been informed we wouldn't be home on 30th and we were to leave a check outside for them to collect after the services
Driveway armor did not come in on the 30th. They left me a voice-mail just telling me that since their technicians were running late due to schedule overload, they will come out the next day Oct-31st
31st Oct was supposed to rain, as per the weather reports.
If Driveway Armor had discussed the rescheduling with me, I would not have selected 31st for the sealing services, given the anticipated rains
Before I had time to react to the voice mail (given that I wasn't at home) they sent in the team on the morning of Oct 31st and did the service.
Two problems:
1. The rains on Oct-31st later washed away the sealant
2. My garage is splattered with sealant ---perhaps while they applied the sealant
I reached out to owner and he is not willing to redo the service, unless we paid another half of the contracted price
This is despite the fact that we did not schedule the service on the anticipated rain date---they just sent in the team on the anticipated rain date
Also, I asked about the shabby job that led to sealant on my garage doors ---and he said I can get it cleaned myself---he is not responsible for it.Desired Settlement: Free service to redo the sealant on my driveway
Clean the sealant from the garage doors

Response:
We advised the customer via voicemail of the schedule change the day before. Upon first contact with the customer we ask for the "BEST contact number" to reach the customer. Even though he did not call us back, we reasonably relied on the fact that payment was still there that the customer still wanted the service. Regarding the forecast, when the crew was dispatched, rain was not in the forecast for the next 14 hours (more than typical drying time) and only 30% chance of rain after 14 hours. Based on our 13 years of experience, and without a call from the customer to reschedule, we proceeded with the job. The wash away is most unusual after such a long time without precipitation, but appears to have happened according to the customer. Our written policy on the estimate the customer received clearly states that Driveway Armor cannot be held responsible for rain as we do not control the weather. We state that in the best interests of a compromise we give 50% off of a reseal. Thus the customer and Driveway Armor both pay 50%.The customer clearly knows and understands that the hard rain created the splatter on his garage doors/home. Driveway Armor did not do this and he is well aware. I did offer him potential remedies from the splatter which is a result of the weather.Lastly, the customer was remarkably rude and condescending to my Office Manager [redacted], saying to her, "I don't want to deal with you or $7 per hour people." Despite this offensive behavior, we are still willing to perform the reseal tomorrow at the 50% rate as indicated in the estimate.
My experience with Driveway Armor was a great one--The men that came to do the driveway were very competent and respectful of us and our property. They did a great job and thru no fault of theirs there was a streaked small area that they came out immediately to redo--They gave us a very fair estimate and were very reliable. I would highly recommend them.
Review: I needed my driveway seal coated. I looked on the internet and found a web site called driveway armor. They showed the various steps they take to provide a good seal coat job. As my driveway was flaking due to prior applications of to much seal coating applied by me. Part of "Driveway Armor" they show on there web site process was to "WIRE BROOM" your driveway to remove any loose flakes to help, not stop additional flaking. They charge more for there process then other seal coat business. That is what I needed. They did not do what they advertised on there web site. They used a blower to remove lose dirt then applied the seal coat. NO WIRE BROOM used. When I asked the person why they didn"t use a wire broom I was told they do not provide that service. When I told them the web site said they did they denied it. I emailed them this and received no reply. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICEDesired Settlement: Refund me $30.00 and change there web site to reflect what they really do.

Response:
A reply was sent to the customer within 24 hours of receiving the complaint. I understand the customer's concern that we show wire brush services on the website. I will update the site to explain not all jobs are wire brushed, just those that the foreman deems necessary. We offer a variety of services, and not all are necessary to perform on each job. Further, our written paperwork which the customer received prior to the job does not explicitly state we will wire brush each job for this reason. We performed the sealcoat service for the price quoted on our estimate form. As a result, no partial refund is due.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
