Review: We live on a driveway shared by 4 houses. We hired Driveway Solutions to tear out the old driveway and replace (10/2013). This entailed of removing the old asphalt, installing 6" of process gravel, graded flat with grader, and paving with 3" of class 1 asphalt. Unfortunately it became apparent the job was not performed correctly 2-3 weeks after completion. The sub grade was not graded smooth and the new asphalt is too thin in most areas. Sections of the driveway quickly fell apart as they are less than .5" thick. We contacted the owner to discuss the situation. He responded stating he had issues on the job and received a "bad mix" and would make the situation right. He added the asphalt plant was now closed and he would repair when they reopened in May 2014. At that time I asked for something in writing and received nothing and no response to my messages. Located contractor at a gas station later in the winter and was told it was too wet to pave in May and the job would now be repaired at the beginning of June. We eventually received a predated "Letter of Credit" from the contractor for "an overlay of asphalt of driveway paved in 2013". June came and went with no response, even after dozens of phone messages. Called contractor from an alternate number in early July after several no answers and surprisingly the phone was answered. Contractor claimed his equipment was under repair and he had hired a partnering contractor to work with and complete the job. A date was promised by the close of the next business day. That was June 30th and we have received no response or commitment. Our driveway is now in worse condition than prior to hiring Driveway Solutions and will be impassable if not fixed prior to winter. This is the only method of entrance to the property and we can not risk the winter without repair.Desired Settlement: We have been attempting to professionally resolve this issue since November (7 months). We request the repaving be completed to a confirmed thickness free from rough surfaces and defects by the close of July 2014. A written warranty is required after repair. If the contractor cannot finish the job as committed, we request full refund to hire another contractor to start over. An alternate contractor will not pave over the existing and stand behind their work, hence the full refund request.

Review: Iadvertised on craigslist for someone to install a septic system.Driveway Solutions responded saying they were licensed / insured.I paid him 475.00 to dig the test holes and the town inspection fees.The holws were dug improperly.The inspector said he was not knowledgable in septic procedures and I would need to get further holes dug.If they were licensed/insured was in question.I have since had the job done and the inspections were completed.DRIVEWAY SOLUTIONS has not removed their equipment from my yard. I have been unable to reach them for the last three weeks.The inpector told me the machine overheated while he was here 3 wks ago.What am I to do?[redacted]
