Upon arrive the business did not do this job, there was an estimate not a contractThe grate they recommended would have just been a benefit to the customer so that a heave rain would not flood his garageHowever, once they got there and spoke with the customer they elected not to do the job because of the way the home owner spoke to the businessNo money was exchanged and the business was no longer comfortable to work for this home owner due to his manners and way of speaking to the the workers on site

I live across the street from their business My garage was broken intoI stopped to see if mcclurg would look at their camera system for me to see if there was footage of the theifsBut instead the blinde woman at the desk gave me attitude and tried to tell me they don't have camerasWhich is a lieI have been told by previous employees of mcclurg they do have camerasI also saw the cameras myself as I pulled out of their driveway if they don't want to share camera footage maybe they themselves have something to hideI no longer trust this business

The reason why the job was never completed was because prior to booking a date to pave the driveway there was prep work to be doneConcrete work was being in the neighborhood and this particular driveway needed a drain in front of the garageWhen we arrived on site to pave the driveway this was discussed with the home owner about the prep work required to be done and it was not up to our companies standards there for we could not guarantee the work to be done and our company could not be responsible with out proper prep workRather than have a problem with warranties or an unsatisfied customer we declined to do the job because the home owner did not have the proper prep work done on site

I hired them to cut my grass for the month of October since I am working hours a week and don't have timeThe first week was fine after that it was a nightmareThey never showed up for the next two weeks with numerous callsThe lady said she had no idea why the crew never showed but that they didn't cut anyone on that dayThe forth week they showed upAfter that I called because they billed me for five weeks and only cut my yard three times in the monthI was told they decided to do a leave clean up without my approval and charged me dollarsWhen I called she said I was lucky because I should have been charged over that she didn't realize I had trees in my yard? I would not refer them to anyone and will inform everyone I know about there lack of customer service and bad attitude!!

I called in November to get winterization done at my house.It is obvious that the old staff at the front desk is long gone*** was a very nice lady, and *** in the irrigation department is top notchThere is now a dragon lady at the front desk I have been a customer for years*** installed my system and I have passed their name on to many peopleI was told that even though I have a zero balance with them that *** *** has flagged my account as "slow to pay" and I must pay upfront for the winterization.If I was ever slow to pay it was an oversight and taken care of pretty quicklyI switched my business to Wheeler Irrigation, they treated me respectfullyAnd I paid at the time of servicePeople expect to pay at the time of serviceThey don't expect to be told they are flagged and not valued

*** ***I have received another message through you from the contractor In the message, he states "upon arrive the business did not do this job, there was an estimate not a contract." I guess this would summarize my complaint.This contractors word, is not his contract In fact, the document on legal sized paper with the company logo and information, an explicit explanation of the work to be done and under what conditions, signed and dated by the company representative, showing a claim to guarantee the work and under what conditions this guarantee is valid, and stating a cancellation fee if the customer cancels for any reason within the last three days of the work being scheduled, is also "not a contract." Consumer beware! With this contractor, THERE IS NO CONTRACT!You see, If I had cancelled on that day, according to the signed document that they provided to me at the time an agreement to do the work was made, I would have to buy the materials that they set aside for my job However, he shows up and cancels the time of the work and that is acceptable?The claim that they decided not to do the work because of my manners is laughable They decided not to do the work hours before I showed up at the sight.The very reason I was upset was the way they denied the job and the fact they would not do the work they had contracted to do and the contractor himself refused to talk to me about it I was upset long after they denied the job, so that cannot possibly be the reason for not doing the job Last time he responded to this claim it was because "prep work had not been completed" When I disproved that with the contract that they wrote, it is now because of how I talk to them.How many more excuses will be hear We had a contract to do work on a driveway which he had already walked on and seen He showed up and refused to do the work, demanding I have expensive prep work done for them I am now upset with him, and he is upset with me.I would not dream of trying to exercise this contract now That would almost certainly end in water standing in my garage I would just like to file my complaint so others will know about this contractor and move on.*** ***

I just had my thirty year-old driveway demolished and repaved by Driveways By Us and had a fabulous experience My initial contact and the person who led me through the whole process was Andy E***, who was knowledgeable, courteous, punctual and professional I could tell from my first interaction with him that he would make sure all my needs were addressedWhen seven trucks (with every piece of equipment imaginable) arrived and workers began buzzing around, like a finely-tuned machine, I realized I had nothing to worry about The whole process took only three hours! Amazing - and the driveway looks wonderful I would give my highest recommendation and compliments for a job well-done

I have worked with the company for almost 2 seasons and now I am finally calling it quits! They never answer their phone! Their ad says answered by a real person and that is sooooo not true. It doesn't matter the time of day, it is always a recording. I contracted a job that was to take two months to complete....it took five months. We are into late fall now and although my yard is seeded, it will have to go through winter and spring as what is likely to be a muddy mess. I must say the hired help was courteous and did a great job but management was terrible at scheduling and failed to follow through on time limits or projected design. My original project was a $52,000 bid and variances in material, layout,etc...caused repeated alterations to my original plans. I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON!

I've been a seasonal customer since 2008. All I have done is a winterization on my sprinkler system. In the fall of 2014 McClurg winterized my system. A few weeks later my neighbor brings me two sprinkler heads that were launcher into his yard when my system was winterized. It was getting cold so I left it broken for the winter. The following year, 2015 I never even turned the sprinkler system on. I forgot about the broken heads until I turned the sprinkler system on in 2016. I call McClurg and tell them what happened. I was told that a technician would be out, but it was going to be a while because they had to take care of their "regular customers" first. A few weeks later a technician repaired both sprinkler heads. A few weeks later I get a bill for parts and labor. So basically McClurg breaks your sprinklers then charges you to repair it. My wife called and spoke to a women who was very rude. I get a call the following day from what I believe was a so called "manager." The manager tells me my story is "far fetched" and states that the bill stands the way it is. Decide for yourself if you want this unprofessional company touching your lawn or sprinklers because if they break something guess who's paying for it, and they'll call you a liar. Never again!

When I called she said I was lucky because I should have been charged over 200.00 that she didn't realize I had trees in my yard? I would not refer them to anyone and will inform everyone I know about there lack of customer service and bad attitude!!

McClurg overhauled existing sprinkler system and added two other stations. The problem was in that they did not begin the work when schedule. I waited two weeks following the date they were supposed to begin, called their office and was told by the office staff that I wasn't on the whiteboard yet but they would get me on it.

The work was completed in one day (good) but there was no walk-through following the completion. Upon personally checking on the systems I noticed several deficiencies. I contacted the vendor and they sent someone out a week later to go through the system with me. Two sprinklers had not been replaced and five others required adjustment.

When I received the invoice it was a greater than 25% increase over the quoted price.

McClurg installed my original system nine years ago. I have used them annually for service, and they are efficient and experienced. I had another company, [redacted] install a system for my parents' home. It was a nightmare. It was the worst installation in the opinion of experts. I called McClurg (who I should have used in the first place). They came in and totally re-did the system and the landscaping to perfection. I have recommended them to family and friends, and they have never disappointed. They are extremely knowledgeable and have an exceptional reputation for quality and service.
