The guidelines established by the [redacted] allow the contractor the opportunity to come back and do the repair work as neededWe would like that opportunityThe drywall repair is a fairly simple repair and would include painting as neededRegarding the streaks in the laminate floor, I had difficulty seeing the streaks when they were pointed out to me by the customerBefore proceeding I would request that an impartial licensed flooring contractor approved by both parties inspect the floor and determine if the steaks were caused by water damageIf they were then we will definitely arrange and pay for the needed repairWould like to get this done quickly so both parties can put this behind usSincerely, [redacted] ***

Yes we did build a covered patio attached to the home for this customer and did have some significant water damage in the home due to a hard rainWe knew there was a chance of rain that night and installed plastic on the roof in the transition area between the existing roof and the addition in the
areas that normally would be most susceptible to water leakage but we did miss two areas where most of the water came inIt is difficult to completely prevent water infiltration in situations like this but we do take full responsibility for not doing a better job of protecting their homeI met with the owners and immediately after the damage occurred and started the process of cleanup, replacing sheetrock, insulation, flooring, repainting, etc., with the goal of restoring their home to it's previous condition. After everything had been done I met with the homeownersThey mentioned several items that they weren't completely happy with and suggested that I give them credits for these itemsI agreed to that and also to the dollar amounts that they suggestedI left on what I thought were good terms

Mr*** did not make any attempt to cover our roput a small piece of plastic on the sideIt is that he tried to prevent water damageThe workers admitted to us the morning after the flood that they did not cover the roofMr*** had warned us that water could come in, a few days prior, if not covered. But, he did not put any cover on the roof for that rain storm. This was fully preventableAfter the flood we demanded an insurance adjuster on his policy come to the homeWe have a saved email of this conversation also, where he initially said he'd make a claimWe complained a few days later agaresponseHe gave some credits on other damages caused due to the company's negligenjust guessed on the dollar amounts to cover those items since he refused to bring in his insurance adjuster*** did repair other areas of drywall and flooring but not all of it. However, we never got credit for the drywall damage, nor the laminate floor damages left unrepairedHe was aware of these additional damages-again he had no response. When he closed our job on Oct17th we clearly stated we were unhappy and would never use him againHe again never respondedHe never said "What can I do to make you happy?" His flooring contractor noted it would cost at least $in labor to replace the damaged floorAt $per box to replace with new product it would be an additional $The drywall and repainting repairs noted in the family room would probably be in the $rangeThis leaves a total dollar amount due to us of $1,plus taxesWe are expecting to be compensated for this amount so that we can proceed to fix with another contractor, back to the original condition

The guidelines established by the [redacted] allow the contractor the opportunity to come back and do the repair work as needed. We would like that opportunity. The drywall repair is a fairly simple repair and would include painting as needed. Regarding the streaks in the laminate floor, I had difficulty seeing the streaks when they were pointed out to me by the customer. Before proceeding I would request that an impartial licensed flooring contractor approved by both parties inspect the floor and determine if the steaks were caused by water damage. If they were then we will definitely arrange and pay for the needed repair. Would like to get this done quickly so both parties can put this behind us. Sincerely,[redacted]
