Dr.Walk In Medical Care

Review: I am the policy holder of the medical insurance policy and my daughter was the patient.

Problem: On 8/**/13, services were rendered to my daughter at the DR Walk-In clinic at [redacted]. DR Walk-In is apparently a subsidiary of Take Care Medical Health New York. Because my daughter did not have her medical ID card, she paid the bill in full. When my daughter returned to Florida, I subsequently filed a claim with my insurance company, and the Explanation of Benefits ([redacted]) from [redacted] indicated that an $88.00 discount per the contracted rate should be applied to the rate charged by DR Walk-In. In other words, my daughter overpaid her bill by $88.00 and DR Walk-In is responsible for reimbursing the $88.00.

Action Taken: I drafted a letter dated September **, 2013, and mailed to [redacted], IL, stating the issue and provided copies of the DR Walk-In Invoice, [redacted], and the Claims Summary page. DR Walk-In was also copied. After waiting almost a month without any response, on 10/7/13, I contacted Take Care Medical Health New York at ###-###-#### and spoke with a representative who instructed me to fax the supporting documents to [redacted]l at ###-###-#### which I did immediately (supporting documents attached). After not receiving the reimbursement, on 10/**/13, I called the ###-###-#### number again and the representative advised that the information that I faxed on 10/*/13 was received and would be given to a business analyst and the refund would be expedited. When I asked how long it would take, they could not provide me an answer.

It has become apparent approximately 2 months after paying the bill, that Take Care Medical Health New York has no intention of honoring the contracted rate with [redacted] and they refuse to reimburse the $88.00 owed to me.

Any help that you can provide to resolve this matter is much appreciated.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to refund the overpayment of $88.00.
