Dry First

I had a terrible experience with this company overall. It started out great, I called and they sent the owner out to assess what was going on. He was very professional and I was impressed. The next three days their guys came and dried out the rooms that had been affected. They also were great. The problem came when it was time for paper work. I told the guys a few times that we were going to do the repairs ourselves, I also let the owner know. No indication was given that this would be an issue. Then, after months of waiting for them to send an estimate to my insurance company and me having to call several times, I am told that I signed a contract for them to do my repairs and that my insurance adjuster was told that all the insurance money had to go to them instead of me. When I called the office manager, R, about this she immediately was defensive, rude, and aggressive and her statements made it sound as if they'd had this conversation with many customers before me. I then went and looked up their ratings (too late unfortunately) and found that others had a similar experience where they made it clear they were doing their own restoration and that they signed a contract not realizing the extent of the contract. I know I should read everything before I sign but I feel as though a business with any morality would not have a customer sign a contract knowing that they aren't realizing what they are signing and that the contract is binding them to something they would never agree to. Then the office manager told me on the phone that I'm lucky because the damage was in my master bedroom closet and bathroom and they have customers that have been waiting months to get their kitchens and other rooms renovated. So if they have too much on their plate and people are having to wait months to get their renovations done, why are they binding people to contracts who don't want them to do the renovations? $$$$$. In the end they let me out of the contract but not after having to deal with a very rude and unprofessional office manager. Please do not use this company. They also have an address that is extremely difficult to find online which seems a little suspicious.

I never received warrantee (only verbal). The time to do the work was excessive and now the tiles is in need of repair.
The work began June 23, 2017 and was kind of finished Dec. 1, 2017. Workers were not there when they promised. Many things had to be redone. Things were broken and I finally settled just to get them out of my house. Jerry subcontracts work but doesn't check up on things. Now the tile in the bathroom has a problem but Jerry didn't answer my text. (This was typical during the whole time they worked.) You can't trust anything he says.
