Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and while I find the poor customer service received from the manager of this location to be unacceptable, I will consider bringing in the shirt for the alteration department to repair. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

To Whom It May Concern: Dryclean Depot prides itself on taking the up most care of each garment that comes into our store. Silk is a very sensitive fabric which is very easy to clean unless there is something wrong with the garment prior to the cleaning process. For that reason alone, Dryclean...

Depot has a disclaimer sign posted in the front of the store in the lobby area which reads "Dryclean Depot accepts silk and satin at the customers own risk." We stand by our policies and our products because we have been exercising them for over 30 years. On behalf of the entire team at Dryclean Depot I would like to sincerely apologize for this negative experience at our store. I would like to offer a complimentary alteration on the tear of the silk garment by our professional tailor we have in our store. We normally insist that the customer pays but I will make an exception. I will inform my Manager, [redacted], that we will not charge for the alteration.  Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. [redacted]Supervisor, Dryclean Depot

Review: I submitted the below email (copy and pasted) to the Dry Clean depot in [redacted], VA on February 17th, 2014. Someone name "[redacted]" is supposed to be the owner, and his email address along with drycleandepot.com was added to this email. I have went to the store several times, and the managers there [redacted] and [redacted] kept telling me to wait for a response. I believe that this cleaning service damaged my suit jacket, in which a big hole was discovered on the left sleeve after I bought it home. They have been very dismissive, and as of today, 3/19, I still do not have my jacket, and the owner ([redacted]) and the managers ([redacted] and [redacted]) claimed that they don't know where my jacket is. I was informed that Dry clean depot has to send my suit jacket to a lab for analysis to determine if the cleaners damaged my jacket or not. I am fine with that, (because they did damage my suit jacket) but now, they screen my calls, and the store does not return any of my messages or emails. I just want an answer from the cleaners, and no one is assisting me. I have left my name, my cell number, my job number and for a month, no one has contacted me inspite of the managers saying that someone will call me. They will not give me the name and location of the lab in which they claim my suit jacket was sent to, and they also claim that they do not have a reference number.

Hello,

This email should be directed/forwarded to [redacted], owner of Dryclean Depot in [redacted], or your corporate office (if one exists). I do not wish to speak to anyone else regarding this matter.

My suit jacket which I brought in to your store [Dryclean Depot in [redacted], VA [redacted]] was returned to me damaged. I have listed the timeline of events below for your review. I'd appreciate if you could either reply back to me via email or call me, on my cell phone number, at

I have used your cleaners for all of my dry clean needs since moving to the area and most recently (on Friday 2/7/14) I brought in 2 dresses, a dress shirt, and a 2 piece suit (pants and a jacket) to be cleaned for a wedding my wife and I were to attend on 2/15/14 out of state. On the day of the wedding, I unwrapped our clothes from the plastic wrap that your store placed them in so that I could lay everything out for us. At that time, I noticed that my suit jacket had a large hole on the right sleeve. Upon further inspection, I found another hole on the back of the jacket. Since we were not in the area, I performed an internet search to find the telephone number for your [redacted] store as it was not listed on the receipt. I called multiple times and there was no answer.

Today, 2/17/14 around 9:10 am, I returned to the store, and a manager there named [redacted] was assisting me. I explained to [redacted] my concern about the huge holes in my jacket, and without hesitation, [redacted] immediately stated "O, that is a moth hole". I beg to differ with his assumption, as I have never had an issue with moths, bed bugs, roaches or any other creatures damaging my clothes. The suit jacket material is really thick, so for moth damage to be the case in this issue is almost impossible. [redacted] then inspected the jacket, and all of a sudden, he discovered several little holes. My guess is that the jacket was damaged during the cleaning process there, and I am willing to wait for a thorough inspection to prove it. According to the receipt from your store, it states that any article of damaged clothing will be sent to a lab for inspection, to determine how the damage occurred. My other concern is that [redacted] never even apologized, he was immediately dismissive, and did not offer to have the jacket examined to see how the hole occurred. Instead, he asked me to "[redacted], moth ball damage" to prove his case. This is unacceptable, and it is surprising that your store has a manager there who instead of trying to help a customer with a damaged article of clothing concern, he instructed me to go to [redacted]. You all have cameras in that store, and one can see, that I was not upset, I did not curse, yell nor was I disrespectful to [redacted] or any of your staff. You can even ask the gentleman who was sitting in a chair near the cash register. After I asked [redacted] about the disclaimer on the back of the receipt, only THEN did [redacted] state that the jacket will be sent to a lab for analysis. [redacted] took my receipt to be sent along with my suit jacket to the lab for analysis, but my questions are: 1) How will I know what the status is of the inspection? 2) How will I know if the jacket will be examined by a lab, and not just sit in the store for a few weeks? 3) Will I be contacted by someone from Dry Clean Depot? 4) Is there a case number or reference number that I can have for my records? [redacted] found my information by my phone number: . [redacted] should not be allowed to tell customers that have a complaint, what HIS determination of damage is, and instead follow company protocol / disclaimer which is listed on the back of your store's receipt. He did not ask any questions about how it might have happened, he did not ask me for my name first, he did not ask for my receipt, he did not ask when did I bring my suit jacket in, for all he knew, I could have bought the jacket in last summer, but instead, he simply stated that it is moth damage. Attached are pictures of the holes, and I just don't see how a moth can do this sort of damage in a short period of time, unless your store has moths. Your store may not have moths or bugs, but my home does not have moths either.

Any assistance that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I really want my suit jacket back, or / a depreciated value of how much my suit jacket costs, and the amount that I paid to have my suit jacket cleaned.
