This customer made an appointment because of issues with their venting Today it is customary for service companies to charge for not only estimates but also complete inspections especially when there is such a serious hazard involved We would have waived the estimate or inspection
charge if the work had been performed but when no work is performed the charge is customary In this case the dryer vent was completely non- functional and a major fire hazard and extremely dangerous So we did diagnose the issues and provide our professional advice - for which they now could actually fix it themselves- so that information is now at the customers disposal We are returning the $in question as we do not want to share in any of the liability here Our advice and actions were certainly appropriate and professional
