On June 28, 2020, my wife, and myself discovered we had a water leak in the area of our washing facilities in our garage. We immediately contacted our plumber, *** Plumbing & Air Conditioning. The same day one of their plumbers came to our home and discovered the leak was coming from a shutoff valve under the sink next to the washing machine. The plumber told me he would check to see if any water got into the wall behind the sink. He checked with his meter and told me it had penetrated the wall and suggested and recommended that we employ Drylux Restoration ***.
The employee for Drylux came to our home at the request of *** Plumbing and spent no more than 3 hours removing some drywall and then placed two fans in the are of where the water allegedly was and let them run all night. The same employee returned to our home the next morning and picked up his fans and left. He then referred the job of repairing and restoring the damaged wall to another business that is somehow a partner of Drylux. They submitted an estimate to fix the damaged wall of approximately $4,300. I was shocked and did not use them to repair the damaged wall.
On August 20, 2020, I received a bill from Drylux Restoration for $2,896.80. I told them that I would pay them a reason fee for the three hours they spent at our house removing the drywall and the cabinet and for rental of the fans. I do not know the relationship between *** Plumbing and Drylux Restoration, but anyone considering using either of these vendors should be made aware of the exorbitant charges for the services we received. I have offered to pay them what I thought was a reasonable fee for the services rendered and rental of the fans, but they have not accepted my offer.
It only took 3 hours to replace the drywall by my handyman.
This was fraud and I could not recommend this company for anything.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON!!!! Do your research and do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If a plumber or any other repair person recommends contacting them, just say no and do your research to locate another company. They are very eager to start on a job without getting a final authorization that the work will be covered by insurance company. They quickly took a part the cabinet underneath sink to draw what was a small leak and kept telling us "we work with x insurance company, this is what you need to say", kept mentioning the potential for mold and insisted the work needed to be done for our health and safety.

found a water heater leak and removed it and called without my knowledge Drylux who came quickly . They advised removing the bathroom floor and begin drying before any insurance adjuster comes and they would talk to him so I would have the claim approved. Both plumber and Drylux as well as Carrie from environmental testing all deceived me and acted as adjuster and I believe it was total fraud. I have no counter sinks mirrors cabinets or half flooring. No bill and my Insurance co sent a small amount that will not put my demolished bathroom back the way it was. Like other bad reviews these people took advantage of me who is a 75yr old single woman whom they overwhelmed. These people are in cahoots with each other to totally overcharge and rip innocent seniors off. They also knew I had just received the covid 19 stimulus check and got that as well as more from my savings. Drylux touched my doorknobs without gloves or masks countless times putting me at risk possibly. They just took over. Now I have a broken mirror they refuse to replace and no one to put my bath room back . No counter, sinks mirror or vinyl flooring at this time. Not enough to pay for repairs. They will have to answer to God for this someday. They should not be allowed to do business at all. FRAUD. All lies and false promises And fraud. I I also have a large cut out of the outside wall to heater closet and bugs are coming in and it does not help the A/C and it is hot now May 15.2020.

inflated bill, On what planet does a plumber charge $279.24 per hour. Am I that out of touch. $69 for a plastic cover, really, for a small area of my bedroom. I would advise everyone to closely check your statement.

THIS WAS THE WORST EXPRIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A COMPANY! THE HAD MY PAPERWORK FOR OVER A WEEK AND DECIDED ESS THAN 24 HOUR BEFORE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY HOUSE TO DO THE WORK THAT THE JOB WAS NOT WOTHR THEIR TIME BECAUSE IT WAS TOO SMALL. WHAT A BLOW TO ME RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! THEN THE SECOND PERSON THEY RECOMMENDED BACKED OUT AS WELL AND THERE IS STILL DAMAGE TO MY HOUSE. MY INSURANCE COMPANY LREADY CUT ME A CHEK THINKING I HAD SOMEON TO DO THE WORK! THAT IS TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN UPFRONT AND HONEST FROM THE START!
