D&S Landscape and Renovation

The company did not complete the job after being paid in full. They will not answer or return my phone calls in my effort to resolve the issue.
The Job was executed over a period of 8 weeks begining on 2/6/2012. The original quote was for $5,200 and it went an additional $300 over budget. xxxxx was paid in full $5,500 with checks and paid one time with cash because he requested it since he had no gas or a means to pay for it. The job was nearing completion and he needed to be paid the balance of the invoice in order to complete the work because he still had not paid his crew and they were not going to work if they were not caught up with their pay. I know this because one of the workers came looking for xxxxx one day and said that they were trying to find him so they could get paid. So, I paid xxxxx in full believing that he would finish the work but, he did not. He was suppose to fix the walkway of pavers the was not properly installed and haul off the remaining brush. He was also suppose to finish planting and mulching one bed in front of the house but I got tired of waiting and did the work myself at a cost of $60. All of the work remaining did not require any materials. It was all labor and could have been finished in 1 day but they did not follow through on the agreement and it will cost $200-$300 dollars to hire another company to finish the work that they did not complete.
