was hired to install new flooring in my home. He came to my home to look at the job and give me an estimate. We had one problem area where there was some mortar on the floor from a previous job. *** looked at the floor twice before he took on and started the job. We had talked about transition molding that could be used to help ease the job and avoid having to remove the mortar. He started on the far end of the room and worked his way over towards the front door where the mortar is. Then we decided to run the flooring in a different direction by the front door in order to frame out the problem area. Please keep in mind that there was vinyl plank flooring on this same mortar that was removed for the new flooring. When it came time for him to show me different options for either wood or metal molding, he had no answers, blamed me and walked away. we spoke on the phone, exchanged numerous texts with no resolution. I also paid him a partial payment of $500 stating he would get the rest when job was completed. NEVER CAME BACK! I had a friend come over and look at the job and he said the job should have never been started. Also said he should have known that and should have never walked away like he did. My friend is a reputable construction guy and knows his work.
