DSI Logistics Inc Reviews (4)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The statements from DSI are inaccurate or completely false. When the leak was first discovered I turned off the water to the refrigerator myself.  When the two representatives from DSI later came to my home I showed them the damaged and wet floor planks.  They saw the damage first hand. I sent pictures to DSI of my destroyed floor.  They rejected my pictures stating they required pictures of the floor before it was damaged.  Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the floor before the leak, but I fail to see why such pictures are required.  I do not know of anyone who goes around their home taking pictures of their floors.  It is just an excuse made up by DSI.  It would not change the outcome.  If car insurance companies required a picture of a vehicle right before it is in an accident, no claims would ever be paid.  When DSI sent [redacted] from [redacted] to my home, he stated his visit was to estimate the cost of replacing the damaged floor.  He never once requested evidence of water damage, nor did he look for any.  When Mr. [redacted] visited it was a month after the leak.  By then the damaged floor planks had been removed, the area cleaned, and dried.  I did not want a mold problem on top of my ruined floor.  Mr. [redacted] runs a loss prevention and limiting liability company, not a floor repair business.  I have no evidence Mr. [redacted] is qualified to assess water damage and I question his objectivity given he was hired by DSI. To date the damaged floor has not been replaced, nor is it in the process of being replaced.  I have no estimate for the cost of the repair since my expectation is for DSI to do the ethical thing and replace the floor they ruined.  To be clear I asked DSI if a statement from the flooring company that discovered the leak would be sufficient evidence to substantiate my claim.  They rejected this offer. In short DSI is refusing to be honest about the situation and take responsibility. Due to space constraints I was unable to originally post my full complaint against DSI with the Revdex.com.  I have added the full complaint in a Word document attachment.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Our process for accepting or denying customer claims include speaking to the customer and the delivery team to get an understanding of what occurred at the time of delivery.  We also request pictures from the customer of the...

alleged damages if not taken at the time the damages occurred.  When we initially received the information from the customer, we asked the delivery team to return to check the connection they did.  There was no water leaking.   The customer was there at the time. We sent a licensed technician to the home.  He found the floor being replaced.  He asked to see the floorboards that were removed.  He inspected them and found no water damage.  We requested pictures of the damaged planks from the customer.  She told our claims specialist they were not needed.  The customer wanted us to accept an estimate from her contractor stating there was water damage and to send her a check.   She was told we would not just pay a claim if there was no evidence of damages.
