I booked with Aldergrove Kennels, it was a nightmareBeyond unprofessional and very rudeHad nights booked for our Mastiff Sampson while we went to [redacted] A day and a half prior to leaving my dog possibly ate a small chunk of plastic toy, roughly one inch in sizeIt is possible it is outside or he ate it, I can't be sureI spoke with my vet, they said if he did indeed ingest it odds are it will pass with no problems at all The veterinarians were aware if any problems were to arise while we gone, Ron (from Aldergrove Kennels) would be bringing Sampson inI told Ron what happened, he told me he didn't like the way the conversation was going and that he didn't want my problem, he also said he didn't want my headache! He continued to tell me they were short staffed [redacted] **, all while being very defensive with a horrible toneHe was just downright mean about the entire thing [redacted] I offered to take Sampson to the vet that day (as we were leaving in days) to get an X-ray to see if there was indeed a problemIf the vet gave the green light that there was no problem would he then take him, to be told again "I don't wan't your problem, he's not my problem, we won't take him" He put me in a VERY difficult spot as my 130b mastiff cannot just go to any boarding facility being such a big dogThankfully we found a different kennel close to him that took Sampson with no problems at allBottom line, Aldergrove Kennels is very unprofessional and unreliable [redacted] Please don't make the same mistake I did in trusting himHe was very pleasant to meet when we went for a consultation and said all the right thingsYet how he conducted himself when a problem arose is the definition of unprofessional, regardless of 30+ years in businessIf he had treated me with respect in how he dealt with this situation I probably wouldn't feel the need to write this review, but I feel everyone needs to know his true characterI did cuss him before I hung up and do regret my conduct, yet we were put in the position of possibly having to cancel our trip to [redacted] Be warned
