mr Parrish. when we had first met your insurance had denied your claim for water damage and mold caused by a leak in your kitchen. I fought tooth and nail on yours and your wife's behalf and had submitted my original bid for an estimated 42,000 for total repairs. after speaking with your insurance company and agreeing to 30,000, which you had signed both agreements from the insurance company and mine, I began working almost immediately. throughout this process your wife's malicious actions have made my life problematic over the past month, such as her outbursts towards the logistics company, the countertop company, and had even took to social media and claimed that I scammed you all for 17000 and did not provide you a kitchen. that all is very far from the truth. your wife had devised a way to get around paying the insurance deductible in which you had clearly signed in our agreement and with the insurance agreement to pay. it is the law sir! if it not had been paid and scored, your insurance company would pursue you for insurance fraud! mrs *** and a number of other representatives had also advised me of the recent law changes which indicate that the client is responsible for paying their deductible. also prior to the start of this agreement you and your wife were sent a loan application offering financing for out of pocket expenses. you were pre approved for 10,000 sir. after your wife's childish outburst on social media and the acts listed above she had went on her own free will to pay the balance for the countertops which were later deducted from the final check issued by the insurance company I had no objection to that. however I did come to find out that the final payment of 3,346.13 was returned by your bank which was supposed to have been paid to me for services rendered per our contract. with respect I have done nothing wrong to you or your family, even after your wife's malicious acts against me and my business, I continued to keep my word and complete the job. I have scanned and have emailed every bit of paperwork to your insurance company and remain in compliance with texas department of insurance and universal insurance. I can not in anyway indulge in committing insurance fraud even though your wife has asked me to do so. if you feel that you have been wronged and have filed a police report and have met with an attorney please have them reach out to me so that I may provide them signed coppies of each agreement and text message transcript of all our conversations. I have also provided the Revdex.com with both copies of our contract and the insurance agreement.

He is a liar and making accusations that were simply not true the reason why the 3300 check had bounced was becuase he had already cleaned us out of 7000 which we have proof of the very check with diff handwriting not my wife's and we can prove it

again, the agreement that both you and I had signed was for a flat rate of 30,000. in the agreement you had signed with your insurance company "property damage release" it clearly states that the sole consideration of 30,000.00 for dwelling repairs in which they sent 3 checks, the 1st of 5,038.97 which you paid to DTI construction at the signing of our agreement. and another 12,473.12 which you had paid in December. and the final payment of 5,392.91 after your deductible being paid of 7,095.00. your wife had paid out of pocket the difference of the countertops which was then deducted from the final payment the insurance sent of 5,392.91 thus the final payment amount of 3,346.12. I also have documentation of your wife indicating insurance fraud and have presented the bounced check to the DA with signed documentation with all parties signatures attached, after further seeing that your wife continues to slander me and being met with the malicious responses I'm getting I intend to pursue this matter with local authorities.

Because his documents have been altered I spoke with insurance company who also plan on pursuing this matter no resolution can be found I have witnesses as well as invoice and texts myself with tj and *** but it's better now left to the attorneys to handle this matter

Did amazing work took their time put in a lot of effort for my new kitchen and floor

Revdex.com received the following written complaint - "We hired TJ *** to remodel our kitchen was suppose to be a 3 week process Jan 26 will be 3 months with no kitchen. He has tired to cut corners on all materiel as much as possible. H has ovner cut brand new cabinets for electrical outlets, left wallpaper on walls now is peeling off new paint where he painted over it. When he laid the floor he over cut floor pcs so baseboard trim dont cover hole on some pcs cabinets were busted and still hung. Window frame was built with pressed cardboard, not wood. He pieced together the crown molding over out in and filled big gaps with caulking to be a professional like he claimed I would hate to see hsi work if he claimed he wasnt professional. Overall everything he did was down right crappy looked on his business web page and apparently I'm not only one disappointed by his work ethic. I'm also missing 1 cabinet completely I have pictures of everything then had to hire someone to come in and fix all the mess he made I also have screenshots of other disappointed customers. Now my walls are peeling off where he painted."

Desired Outcome

"My husband says 40,000 would be fair from the oak cabinets he ripped out, the mess he's made of our kitchen, and the work we have had to redo to get our kitchen together again."

mrs Jimenez. I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com.

When we had first met back in September you were undecided as to the remodel look you were wanting for your kitchen. after meeting with you and your husband Joe, we had discussed that it was not possible to reface the kitchen cabinets you had because of the current state of their condition and it would not look right. you and I had looked over brochures of designer cabinets offered from lowes, you and your husband had told me that you did not want anything fancy or designer grade. it was clearly communicated that you both had wanted something basic and of white color, so I took the information that you had given me back to the store and had given the designer at the store the information and had paid for it with the $8000.00 you had given me which cost $4,000.00 for basic cabinets . prior to delivery of the cabinets we had demo'd your kitchen, and had applied the first coat of paint that you had selected from the store. after that we had laid your laminate floor that you had purchased using my contractors discount saving you almost 1000.00. and we had installed that at no cost per our agreement and also stated that in the contract. it was also brought to my attention and without my knowladge your husband had asked a former employee of mine to do electrical work who was not a licensed electrician, and who's work caused the outlets to fail. after learning of this issue I had immediately brought it to your attention and had advised it would be and incurred cost to fix that because of it being done without my knowladge and outside of our written agreement. 2 weeks prior to the first set of cabinets being delivered you had requested a different paint color on your walls because you didn't like the first color option you had chosen, you said it looked too blue. so I had went and purchased 2 different paint colors of your choosing and had repainted the walls to the new color of your choice, and also had retextured the ceiling for you as requested which was outside of our original agreement and contract. once your cabinets had been delivered by and from lowes we had all discovered they were partical board boxed cabinets and I was immediately told to return them and get something different, so I did exactly as instructed. I also had informed you that the new premium diamond cabinets were custom order cabinets & take approx 4-6 weeks to be delivered which cost exactly 8,045.16. we had informed you that due to the framing of your house and you telling me it had been picked up and moved, your walls and ceiling were not square, using 4 1/2 inch wide crown molding we were not able to completely square 1 corner above the cabinets. after the new set of cabinets were delivered, your husband had came home from lunch and looked at them and asked you if they were good and you said yes so we began setting them and installing them. at the end of the day we had discovered that one of the base end cabinates had been damaged by the moving company and that 1 other cabinet was the wrong size. I immediately took pictures and followed all instructions from the manufacture and lowes and had went back to the store to report it and showed them the issue, and had re ordered them for you, and had sent you a text message confirming this. the last day that I was there I had discovered that you guys had finished the floor in the hallways which at the time of me laying the floor in the kitchen for you, you had told me to hold off due to being undecided about reframing walls in the living room and back room. I had cut and shot primed baseboard for you and after that began casing and framing a window sill for you in the dinning room. due to your window being installed by someone else it was not plumb and squared. in that case I had split the difference for the measurements leaving an 1/8 inch gap between the window and trim, and due to the framing of the wall and how bad it was bowed, it caused a gap between the casing and the inside sill.
after you had left to tend to family matters your husband had came home from work and had begun screaming and yelling at me, causing and swearing at me about everything. I had informed him that I would fix it and would have everything completed by the following week. he kept screaming and yelling at me and had even threatened me. your husband had told me to pack my st and leave so I did just that.
in a way I'm just as upset as you are because this was supposed to be a 3 week project but because your husband had demanded changes every which way we turned it created this scenario. I'm also very upset because we were never compensated for our labor, and I had even text you asking you for a payment to pay for your countertops and you had replied back that "Joe said were not paying another dime until everything is complete" and I had expressed that I would then have to come out of pocket to purchase your custom countertops which would have run $2800. and you had told me that was between Joe and I.
as far as Joe requesting $40,000 for the previous cabinets, I can tell you they weren't even worth $4,000.00 in the condition they were in. we had met on several occasions before signing a written agreement, you and your husband were both fully competent and had even discussed in front of me about the seriousness of this project and had both given me a verbal, competent and confident yes.

Top quality work, great affordable estimate given. The owner came right to my house, he was the one who did the work as well. I would recommend TJ *** & DTI Construction to all my family & friends!

I was given the name of this business by *** to install a garage door opener. I called DJ, who I assume is the owner to set up a time to install the opener. It took about a week or so to agree to a time for the install. I was ok with that although I have had to manually open and close the garage door. He was suppose to be at my house at 2pm on a Friday. However, he did not show up or call me, although he clearly had my number. When I called him at 215p he stated he got tied up and offered to come to the house at between 6p and 7p. I asked him to call me to let me know he was on his way. Not surprisingly, he did not show up or call me that day or any day thereafter. Apparently, he has plenty of work and does not care to be respectful or professional in his dealing with potential customers. I would not recommend this company or this individual as you are likely to have a hard time getting your work done on time or at all
