Review: I went in to D-TRONICS to get the front two windows of my [redacted] tinted. I was told that it would take from an hour to an hour & a half for the job to be done. After about 45 minutes, the worker that was applying the tint came out and said that he noticed some white spots on the door and he was making sure that I knew that they were there because he did not want to be blamed for it. I told him that I was aware of the spots, it was glue residue. He again said that he did not want to be blamed for anything that might be wrong with the vehicle before he started on it. Within 15 minutes, the vehicle was ready, so I knew that he had already started working on it before he came out to clarify things. The salesman took us out to the vehicle to show us the tint, we ok'd it, and he then typed out my invoice. The entire time, the worker was hanging around suspiciously, I now realize why he was so persistent about making sure that he was not blamed for anything that might be wrong with my vehicle. As we were leaving, I noticed that the passenger seat was really damp and there was a white residue. I just figured that water was used for the tint installation. Once it dried, I saw that the seat had a straight tear on it and some type of glue was placed over it. It seems like it was made by some type of blade. I assume it was a blade that they use to cut the film. I called Dtronics & spoke to the same salesman, he acted surprised but obviously knew what I was talking about. He told me to take my vehicle back so that his supervisor could take a look at it. I took it back about an hour later, and the female manager on duty was very rude speaking only in Spanish saying that the guys would be out to speak to me because my seat was already torn. I had not even told her y I was there, but they had obviously gotten their stories together. The tint guy immediately said that the tear was already there, and he does not use a tool to cut the film, that the film is pre cut. I left with no resolve.Desired Settlement: I would like acknowledgement that they are liars! I'm an educator for a living and I took the day off to get things done on my vehicle, and this is how I get treated. I was also interested in getting a stereo system installed, so I would like some type of compensation on that part.

In response of Revdex.com case #[redacted]. D-Tronics is a company with over 20 years of experience, and also known for excellent customer service. Customer [redacted] stopped at one of our D-Tronics locations, as she explained in the letter we worked on her [redacted] 2008. D-tronics did resolve the matter with Ms. [redacted] on [redacted]. The front passenger seat bottom was reupholstered, and for the inconvenience we also tinted the rest of the windows without charge. We value, and appreciate our customers. D-tronics will always strive to provide excellent service.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] from the [redacted] store handled my complaint with the [redacted] store to my satisfaction. While the managers and salesmen from the [redacted] store called me a liar and said that I had done the damage to my vehicle myself, [redacted] handled the matter immediately without question. I will definitely continue doing business with D-tronics and refer my friends and family, but to the [redacted] store.
