Review: I ponded my ring at this business, and they toldme somone broke into the store and stole my ring. this has been now a little over two years with them telling me its under investigation by the police but has not shown me a police report and last time I called she hung up the phone. I believe she has lost my ring or some else. I have a pawn ticket on this and can't get my ring back or the money thats its worth.Desired Settlement: The value of the ring is at least 4, 500.00 or more, but I will settle for that amount or my ring returned to me. I'd rather have my ring back due to it being a family heirloom.

Response:

We were burglarized in July 2011 and it is still an ongoing investigation. The Dublin Police department and the ATF handled the investigation and have a list of items that were stolen during the burglary. If further confirmation is required, here is a link to the story posted by the Southwest Times [redacted]

Response:

The amount of time has passed enough for this to be resolved by you and your insurance company and the police department, I want the value of my ring paid to me......or a statement from the police department confirming your story and a statement from your insurance company saying they did not or will not cover my loss for the value of my ring. Also if this is not paid to me or I get my ring back then I will file for a court hearing at Pulaski Courthouse and let the judge decide this case. Regards,[redacted]

Response:

I understand that you are upset by your lose, as were several other customers and ourselves who had items stolen during the burglary. If you would like confirmation from the police about the burglary, then you may contact the Dublin Police department and ask for Sgt. [redacted]. He will be working night shift tonight. To contact him you may call the Pulaski Co. Sheriff's office ([redacted]) and they will contact him for you. You stated in your first message that you have a copy of your pawn ticket. Please read the back. Paragraph 6 clearly states...."It is agreed to and understood that the pawnbroker does not insure pledged property for the benfit of the Pledgor. Pawnbroker is not liable for loss or damage caused by an Act of God, burglary, theft, robbery, fire, typical wear or deterioration resulting from handling and storage or other unforeseen casualty behond the control of the Pawnbroker." Another customer filed against us and the Court found in our favor based on the signed agreement. Again, I am sorry for your lose.

Response:

I see I am not going to get any where with these folks and as they said they won court cases against them over folks getting their stuff stole at thier business. So...I will take this matter to court with a attorney experienced in the matters of Pawn shops.

Review: I purchased a brand new SR22 ruger handgun from Dublin [redacted] E.S. Ramey Firearms) on Monday September 2nd , 2013 at the Hillsville Gun Show and Flea Market. I paid $341.95 which included a processing fee of $5.00. The lady that I dealt with was very hateful and unfriendly, but I still bought the gun from her. I took the gun home and fired 2 rounds and the gun malfunctioned. I can no longer shoot the gun. I waited until today Sept. 3rd, 2013 to call the business and tell them what happened. The same lady that I dealt with when I purchased the gun is the one that I had to deal with again. She was very hateful and unfriendly during our conversation also. She told me I could send the gun back to the manufacturer or I could drive it down to her shop (which his approx.. 40 miles from where I live) and she could send it to the manufacturer. I explained to her that I did not want to send a gun off to the manufacturer being that it was a brand new gun that I had purchased in the last 24 hrs. I asked about a full refund she said no but she would give only 80% back of purchase. Then I mentioned to her to give me another SR22 and she stated that she did not have one. Then I mentioned about coming in and getting maybe a different gun in the same price range, at that time she said she would still only give me 80% even on a trade in. I feel that this is not a very professional way of doing business. I wish this could of all been avoided. I purchased a brand new gun, then I should be able to use it. This business should be more willing to work with me. I feel like I gave enough options to were this should of been resolved. I do not trust this business now to ever do business with them again.Desired Settlement: At this point I just want my money back. I paid cash, I want cash. I want 100% of what I spent not 80%. I would have liked to of kept this gun, but the way the lady treated me I am just ready to be done with them. I will go somewhere else and spend my money.
