Review: I signed up for a Dubspot course late May. The course was suppose to start early September. Something came up so I had to cancel it so I submitted for a refund late May. Their policy states they offer refunds if cancelled 2 weeks before the start date. I got email confirmation that my refund was processing. Their policy also states it may take up to 30 days. I still don't have my refund to the attune of 8400 dollars. They have stopped responding to my emails and won't return my phone calls. I need my money back they are [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my money. Especially for breaking their own policy I feel I should get a full refund instead of the 75% that they state in their policy. If they can break their policy not refunding me then they should give me a full refund for more than 2 months of not giving it to me and ignoring me.

Review: Dubspot has promised a prompt 30 day refund, and I have been requesting one since December of last year, to a lot of promises that a check is on the way, etc, to no avail.Desired Settlement: to have my entire tuition, of which $9395.56 is 75%, refunded to me immediately. I have waited for months and months, and their agreement on their website states clearly a thirty day timeframe. In lieu of thfact that they have violated their own agreement, I want a total refund.

Response:

Hi [redacted] - very sorry this is the first time I'm seeing this. As an accredited business with you since 2006 - we haven't had any complaints and we have thousands of customers a year. I am addressing this now and will reply to the original request. We take this very seriously. Thank you! [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

?

Simply stated, the money isnot showing in my accoutn, and as many times as this company says they are "taking" things "seriously", it never happens, and month after month my bills go unpaid, my credit scores go lower, and I politely await resolution to what should have been a simple process. In short, I do not have my refund, this business has caused my finances great trauma, I am a simple person living on very little, trying to learn and grow. I am stressed by the problems this has created in my life, and the 'resolution' provided says nothing to me about when they will actually take Action, instead of taking "seriously".Regards,[redacted]

Review: My son [redacted] has registered with Dubspot NYC, Modify /Mixing and Mastering Program. Class was suppose to start in June **, 2015 and end December 2015. Each section of the class (modify/mix/master) was to be given 8 classes/ea. They were to start with modify then master then finish with mastering.

Class started on June ** and then was canceled for several of weeks....then started again on and off for total of 5 classes. Instead of going through the curriculum as mentioned above in order the teacher decided to give one class modify and one on mixing and finish with 3 classes of mastering. Then he told the students and my son that he will no longer be teaching and the administrative office will contact them....a few weeks went by with no one taking care of business and finally we were informed that Rich will be teaching the class ...my son attended 2 classes and then was told that the class will no longer be held........no one will even get on the phone to tell us.

I send numerous emails and talked with Brandon, David and Jackson from admission office who in return sent all my messages to Bill and Dan the head of the department and company.. and I was also cc'd as well. I have all the email I sent as well as the admission office emails...I am told that they don't know what to do and I will probably need a lawyer....(admission employees)

I have put out $2246.25 for class + $2459.93 for computer + $500 for programs + on going transportation fees and tolls.

I can't afford a lawyer and I feel helpless since the company is ignoring this situation and will not offer any resolution. I also come to find out that they have another class on line for registration which so far 7 people signed up for and I was told there is no teacher for that class as well...It is disturbing to know that

Is aware of this situation but will not answer nor will he refund me the money back.

Please let me know what action to take with this situation.

Thank you,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: They need to refund the money asap or teach the students individually so that they make up for lost time and materials.

Review: I paid $145 for the Music Foundations workshop that was to be held on November [redacted], 2015. Three students plus myself were in attendance for the workshop. The instructor, however, did not show up. It is now Dec. [redacted], and I am still waiting for my refund. I called on Nov. [redacted] and was told I would be put into a "refunds cue" and receive an email with an update on the issue. I have yet to receive any email communication. I just called again and was on hold for 15 minutes only to be forwarded to a voice mail. Who in New York City has the time for this? I'm out $145. I have learned nothing. And I have yet to hear from anyone at Dubspot. This is bad business.Desired Settlement: I don't want the guy in admissions (Jordan) to be rude to me. I don't want to be enrolled in another class. I just want my money back. That is all. I did nothing wrong here. I just showed up for a workshop that did not happen.

Review: After I attended 1 class in Dubspot, I found that it's not what I expected, so I want to get refund. I tried to email them more than 10 times, no one reply. I tried call them, all I got was a wrong email address and then they never pick up my phone anymore.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

Hi we are aware of the student's requested refund and will be sending a wire transfer for the full amount this coming week. We did reply to many emails and phone calls. We also spoke with [redacted] regarding the situation. We have a refund policy which is stated clearly on our website. Additionally the courses have very detailed explanations on our website, including the description of each course [redacted] registered for.Despite this we agreed to a full refund which we originally intended on sending via check. [redacted] requested a wire instead along with his bank information. We will send the confirmation of the wire.Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.Dan

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

1. The promised refund day is [redacted] Jan 2016. I have not received my refund until now.2. The CEO of Dubspot Daniel F. G[redacted] keeping fraud about paying the money but never really does.3. We are filing a court case suing them right now.So, this complaint has not resolved yet. [redacted]

Review: I registered for the Ableton Producer Certificate Program. The online advertising for the class states that students will have access to the labs and to state of the art equipment. As someone has has attended several colleges and institutions of learning, I figured that, as advertised, I would be able to use the labs to do my work as long as I made myself available and dedicated to doing so. However, only after already paying and registering did I find out that the lab hours were VERY limited. The lab hours were not available to me, or online, prior to signing up and paying. If the lab schedule was available online or was available prior to paying, I would have never registered because those VERY LIMITED lab hours would never work for someone like me who actually works during the day. Plus, the one production lab that they have on the weekend is at the same exact time as the production class! My schedule is relatively flexible and even with mornings, evenings, and weekends off, they have no lab time to offer me for my $1,511.14 investment.

I submitted email notice within 7 days of the start date of the class (as per the refund policy) to the person who registered me and they only responded by copying me on an email to another person saying that I need a refund request form.

Almost 3 weeks later, no one has returned any of my multiple phone calls or emails. I spoke directly to the owner and not even he has returned my call. I have sent emails to 4 different people, including the owner, and no one has responded. Every time I call the main number, I either get directed to email the other 3 people that I have already emailed several times before or no one picks up the phone at all.

I have referred people to Dubspot that have paid several thousands of dollars to attend and I am appalled that this is the way they conduct business. They just seem to have an utter disregard for their own policies, for customer service, and for working people's money.Desired Settlement: I want the majority of my $1511.14 back as I only took 1 class.

Review: I signed up for this online class via [redacted] around the beginning of August 2015. I paid in the full the required cost a month before the class started to ensure I would not have any issues through the class. Everything was fine until late October and all of November when our instructors computer failed, which is an essential tool for instructing these courses. November [redacted] a day when we were supposed to have lab, our teacher left us with an email that he quit and that was the last we heard from him. December [redacted] will mark the 5th week of these services that we paid for. I made multiple contacts with the CEO and out of all of them, he sent me 1 email saying that he is sorry and that we would have a new teacher this week, yet no teacher every came. There are multiple students who are just as furious at the unethical business practices that Dan G[redacted], CEO of Dubspot, is following. We paid our dues to expect quality service and we have yet to receive such service. I have been in touch with my lawyer, whom is sending a letter on my behalf to ensure proper compensation is met. I emailed Dan for the last time tonight, 12-**-2015, expressing my displeasure and demanding full withdrawal and a full refund from the course. This person should not be in business anymore due to the increasing about of complaints I am starting to uncover as I look deeper and deeper into his business.

tldr; I paid in full for quality service from the "premier electronic music school in the world" and our teacher quit. We are now 5 weeks into our course and haven't received any instruction on what to do. We have assignments that were NOT graded. We are missing overall grades from our courses. We have not received the service that we paid for. $3800+ is a lot of money and I know students who paid more for classes through dubspot.Desired Settlement: After missing 5 weeks of our 6 month course, and the disgruntled teacher who quit provided us with sub par service all of October and half of November, I feel that I did not receive any of the services that I paid for. I want a full refund of the course and full withdrawal from the course, so I can take my business elsewhere. I have a business that I am trying to start and having almost $4000 tied up is not helping my bottom line.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Dubspot regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Now they removed me from the school roster and claim to have sent me a refund check I never got this check they are talking about and now no longer have access too the school

Response:

In response to [redacted]'s complaint: [redacted]'s refund check was mailed on January [redacted], within our 30-day refund policy window. We understand's [redacted]'s frustration as his teacher did unexpectedly leave without notifying anyone. Another teacher was assigned to this class, but [redacted] did not want to continue. I apologized to [redacted] for our failure to live up to our normally high standards. From there, [redacted] and I exchanged several emails and came to a general understanding. We wish [redacted] the best of luck and hope he continues his music education elsewhere. This check cleared our account on January [redacted] (attached).Thank you,Dan
