I never received a bill from Duckworth and I am now receiving a call from a collection agency advising that I have been turned over to collection.My complaint is due to the fact that I never received any notification that I owed Duckworth anything. I had never even heard of their company until today when a collection agency called me stating they had sent me a bill on 3/2/15 and were calling me today to advise I was in collections. I have yet to even received the bill from the collection agency. I was advised the account # is XXXXXXXX. I do not want this to show up on my credit. I pay my bills when I know I owe something and this is an unacceptable practice to send someone to collection when you've never sent them a bill.Desired SettlementFirst I want a bill so I can pay it and second I want something in writing on their company letterhead that this will not be sent to the credit bureaus or will be removed from the credit bureaus if already reported.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Client MgrContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXWe mailed statements to Ms. [redacted] address and the Post Office returned them to our office stating it was a bad address. Duckworth Pathology Group sent my bill to Consolidated Recovery Systems. I received a statement from Duckworth Pathology Group dated 4/8/2014. I called on 4/28/2014 and spoke with [redacted]; she told me my account showed a zero balance and to look for another statement because they were working on a claim. I received a letter dated 5/27/2014 from Consolidated Recovery Systems telling me my account was placed in their office for collection. On 6/3/2014 I spoke with [redacted] a very nice young lady she told me that my account did show a zero balance however on another screen I owed $485.79 and it was in collections. I called [redacted] Systems and spoke with [redacted], she had a vile, nasty attitude. She said that the only way my account would come out of collections would be for Duckworth to remove it.Desired SettlementI want my account out of the hands of Consolidated Recovery Systems, immediately! My account was turned over to a collection agency by Duckworth Pathology while I was making payments each month on the account. I received a letter on 01-30-15 from [redacted] informing me that my account had been turned over to a collection agency by Duckworth Pathology Group. My account (acct # 5516*XXXXX) in the amount of 193.00 was first billed to me on 10-31-14. I made monthly payments of payment $25.00 by check on 11-30-14 and payment $25.00 by check on 12-30-14 and payment $50.00 by check on 01-29-15. This account was not delinquent I did not get any communication from Duckworth that there was a problem with making monthly payments and it should not have been turned over to a collection agency within 3 months of the first bill while I was paying payments. Desired SettlementI am seeking that this account be removed from collections from [redacted] and Duckworth Pathology accept my monthly payments until the bill is paid in full.Business Response Contact Name and Title:[redacted], Client Mgr.Contact Phone:[redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]@mckesson.com[redacted] is responsible for patient billing for Duckworth Pathology. Ms. [redacted] insurance EOB was posted on 10/28/14. Ms. [redacted] was sent a statement for her balance on that day. We posted a payment from Ms. [redacted] on 12/8/14 which is over 30 days from the date of the first statement. Our system does not recognize partial payments, unless the patient contacts our office and request payment arrangement which is entered into our billing system. Ms. [redacted] did not contact our office. Once the account shows it is not paid in full within 60 days and there had been no contact from the patient requesting payment arrangements, it is turned over. Ms. [redacted] has paid her balance in full and the collection agency's records and ours reflect this account has a zero balance. I would like to assure Ms. [redacted] that this was not reported to any credit agency and is closed. I apologize for any confusion. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
