I purchased a sectional from dufresne furniture. I measured my rooms and was looking forward to receiving the couch which had a custom fabric delivered sold to me comes in two pieces.
The delivery team arrived with my couch and could not fit it through my entrance. I learned that the manufacturer offered different sized pieces and asked if I could return the one piece that didn't fit and replaced it with a smaller one (which I would pay for).
The owner insisted I return both pieces and purchase 3 new pieces AND pay a percentage on BOTH pieces I originally ordered. I did not agree to these terms but dufresne retained both parts of the original couch to sell.
With no couch or resolution Dufresne invoices $1000 to the financing company and claimed it was a restocking fee although there are no provisions for this in the contract I signed.
Owner [redacted] also called his Orleans store to tell them what I should be charged if I came in there to check pricing.
