Check for $has been mailed
I have spoken to the customer and explained that she was handled by a fairly new employee that was unfamiliar with how to price non-standard (Mobile 1) oil changes. I told the customer I agree with her and apologized for the fact that this happened at all and agreed to reimburse her the
requested $53.00. A check will be mailed to her early this week

When any vehicle arrives at our shop, we perform a 33 point inspection on that vehicle, before any repairs are estimated. No repairs are performed without the customer's approval. During the inspection of this vehicle, a leaking heater core was reported along with other issues. An estimate was...
prepared, and communicated with the customer. This included all the issues we found on the vehicle. Approval was received from the customer to replace the fuel pump. The estimate also included the cost of the diagnosis to pin point the fuel pump issue, approved by the customer when the car arrived at the shop. Labor was estimated using ALL DATA national labor guide, with some minor adjustments for the age of the vehicle.Regarding the heater core, this unit is located inside the heater ductwork system which is inaccessible without dismantling the ductwork system. In the replacement of the fuel pump, there was no reason to do anything on the ductwork system so we never came near the heater core, which I mentioned was leaking on arrival, and reported to the customer before any work was done.Parts pricing at our shop, is based on a markup consistent with other shops in the US which we network with.It is also the practice of this shop to be 100% honest with our customers, and if we do break any parts, we let the customer know and we replace them.We believe in this case we did everything right, obtained proper approvals, communicated with the customer, and priced the repairs fairly.
