Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/11/23) */ We have talked to the customer and sent her copies of the Loan Agreement with Credit AcceptanceIt clearly shows that her $was applied to the loanShe also forgot that she purchased an Extended Warranty for $1380.00, this is where her dollar amount was off Hope this will take care of the problem or misunderstanding Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/11/24) */ I did finally get a copy of my loan paperwork emailed to me from the auto dealership and was able to discuss the reason for my belief that it was wrongThere was a warranty added to the top of the loan for approxwhat my deposit was also that I was not aware of but feel I should be able to get a portion of that money refunded now that the loan is being paid off after a few short months

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2015/08/31) */ We have never received the first or second complaint letterCan you please verify our address, [redacted] Ramsey, MN We did received the email sent to us on 8/28/about this complaintThis was a Mercedes that was sold to him on 11/16/for $that had 129,miles on itThat price included tax and transfer feesThe vehicle was purchased AS IS and he did sign the warranty, we will not reimburse for any parts and repairs that were done at another facilityWe do offer discount rates on labor and the best price on parts for our customersMr [redacted] immediately took his vehicle somewhere else and then expected us to reimburse him for someone else's repairsWe are sorry it took so long to respond, but we never received complaint in the mail Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 13, 2015/09/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I know I signed an as is warranty and figured they wouldn't pay anything for getting the repairs done by professionals that found the stuff that was wrong with itThe owner was aware I took it somewhere else to get fixed I called him and told him what happened and told me to email the receipts and we'd go from there, didn't think I'd get no responseI would have never brought it to them to get fixedI didn't need a half a**ed repair to the half a**ed car they sold meBusiness should not be ran that way have some integrity and treat your customers rightI figured from reading other complaints they wouldn't pay but knowing this may help someone else out in the future and maybe help this dealer develop some core values on how to treat their customers

This vehicle was purchased AS IS with NO WARRANTY, total cost of the vehicle was $which included tax and transfer feesI do offer repair work at a discount cost for some of our customers, it was never stated that this would be done for free at NO COST and there was NO Day WarrantyI told Mr [redacted] to drop off the vehicle and when we had a chance we would look at itMr [redacted] said he was willing to pay for the parts and then dropped the vehicle off on 5/6/16, I have only one mechanic and we have several other vehicles that needed to be done before this oneMr [redacted] can take this vehicle at anytime somewhere else that could get it done faster, we are not holding the vehicleI am willing to repair it at a discounted price, but it could still be another week before we could start on it as we are not a regular Auto Repair Facility and have only one mechanicI think it would be in his best interest to have someone else do the work as I can't guarantee we would get it done in a time frame that would satisfy Mr***.Thank YouRyan [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2015/11/18) */ Owner has contacted and spoke to Ms [redacted] and she refuses to bring vehicle in to our facility for repairs, the Warranty states that the repairs must be performed by us only, please see attached Warranty. The Power Steering pump was replaced with a new one and several other repairs were also done, please see attached receipts for partsMost of the codes were cleared and were caused by a low battery, please see Cadillac receiptWe are stilling willing to honor the 50/Warranty if she brings the vehicle in to us for the repairs. We did not know of these problems prior to her purchasing the vehicle, as we only had the vehicle a short time before the saleWe will not refund the sale on this vehicle, but we will still honor the 50/Warranty Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 13, 2015/11/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First off the Owner has not contacted me as stated above, We had called and left many messages, after never getting a call from them back, Mike called left a message letting him know we would be in his office later in the day, We then got an Immediate call back, We had again voiced our concerns, we have given this company a chance to fix the problems were having and they have not been honest with any thing they have said or done, They cashed our check when they stated they wouldn't until they had some things fixed that we agreed on, They would hold the check for Grand to know we were serious of buying, and then we would need to test drive again, to make sure all repairs were complete to satisfaction, Our Check cleared within days, I called and called I was frantic, I asked about the check wanted to be reimbursed until we had vehicle but he wouldn't and said its all good and we had nothing to worry about, we said we would be back in days to get the vehicle, days went by I couldn't get an answer, and they wouldn't return our calls, when we finally talked it wasn't done, this went on for days, they put in a new power steering pump, which when we took to a mechanic we were told its put on backwards, he was going to get the front end align he told us it was done, It was never touched, there was a ratchet and a socket left by there mechanic in the engine compartment we found on the way home as we had to pull over with it over heating and engine light on, WE have given them chances to get this right for us and they have failed, I do not trust anything they say and cannot trust the mechanic as explained above, I will not give them any more of our money as they have been incompetent to follow thruI have done research and find it sad that the star ratings that are posted on there page are friends/family and the real customers are the star reviews who are as displeased as we areThis is a shame that a company can take ones money and Clear the codes and reset just long enough for a test drive, as we have taken to mechanics and all the lights and flags go away until I drive it again for a day then all the red flags appear, I am not convinced that after having this for the days AFTER WE PURCHASED THE WARNING LIGHT S DIDN'T COME ON FOR THEMHow if they drove this vehicle at all as he mentioned he drove it as his personal vehicle for a couple days because he wanted it to be perfect for me, if that's the case the lights would have started to flicker after driving for awhile then the whole console goes out, everything and all electrical goes out, It happens to me every time after driving awhile so pretty sure it happened to themBy putting that power steering pump on backwards could have caused me harm, There word means nothing to me and as reading the reviews we are not the only one with bad experience, this is a shame and it needs to stop, they need to be shutdown and stop scamming people, If this is such a nice vehicle as they claim and this is an honest loyal company then why not buy it back from us? what would they have to lose? I have almost a thousand more dollar in repairs into itI am again asking for a refund, because doing the 50/is unacceptable as they do not do the work they state they will and the work they have done is wrong and can pose a dangerI need something done as I am paying full coverage ins and a loan for thousand dollars on this vehicle and is unsafe and unreliable to drive as I drive on the freeway and it overheats and everything shuts down quit frequentlyI am now without a vehicle as I cannot afford to buy another until this one is paid for, Please help meThanks [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
The buy as is was not on the car when I purchased the carThe owner was driving the car as a personal car so no paper work was visible on the car at the time of test driveAmong many things that did not work as he told me they did the horn, cruse control , door locks extvoltswagen said the place of purchas disingaged the airbag light and fixing the horn and cruse control in no way set off the airbag light it was just a matter of time befor it would light up againI do like the car however some of these things need to be fixed and I can't afford to fix them allI would gladly split the difference on the fixing of the car$was the estimate and I again would split that to make ends meet $would fix major problems that I feel are putting myself and my family at unsafe riding conditions. I did however after the fact look into Revdex.com about this company and they had so many complaints that the last city they were in kicked them out due to very poor buisness traitsSo not having a good track record it does not surprise me that he will do this againJust wish this company would make things right for myself and familyOther people need to know that they are not a very good company to work with and if I can save a life by doing this that will make my kids happy. thanks*** *** and my kids thank you as well to try and make this buy right

This vehicle was sold AS IS on 11/4/Ms***'s daughter had admitted to me that she drove this car for several miles in the wrong gear and severely over heated itWe did repair it once and got it in running condition for her, as now I
feel she has done damage to the Head Gasket as a result from over heating itThis vehicle was in good running condition when we sold it, it had only 106,miles on it and the price was very fairShe still owes us $on the balance of this vehicleI will repair the vehicle at a discounted rate, which we offer all of our customersI will not refund her money, the vehicle was transferred in to her name on 11/17/
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/12/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When the vehicle over heated, my daughter did pull over right away, shut the vehicle off and called meShe waited in the cold for min and restarted it, to drive the half mile to where we liveIt was not over heating when she got homeI called ryan the next morning, and left him a messageOf course, I had to keep calling to get him to finally answerI have not been notified about any title transfer what so everSo, again, he is not telling the truth
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2016/01/07) */
How would their mechanic know that this happened before we sold it to her? Did he test drive the vehicle before we sold it? We have more than one witness besides our mechanic, that her daughter severely overheated this vehicle and kept driving it in the wrong gearOur offer to fix this will still be at her cost, not ours

Dear Mr***,I'm am sorry as the first response was accidentally sent to you before it was finishedThis customer's vehicle was wholesaled to a company called *** Motors and was financed for Mr*** through themI have contacted *** Motors and was told the
title was sent to the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles for transfer and plates around the middle of April, it could take up to weeks to receive the title, he should be receiving it soonWhen this vehicle was sold the Air Bag's were working properly and the AS IS WARRANTY was clearly displayed on the vehicle, Mr*** clearly knew this when he purchased it, that's why he purchased the extended WarrantyWe also have never received any proof or letter from Volkswagon stating that this vehicle was deemed unsafe and should not be on the roadWhat I do know is that Mr*** did admit to trying to fix the Cruise Control himself and after that is when the Air Bag light came onI will give you *** Motors phone number, the contact person to talk to about this is Casey- she is the Office Manager and is the one that has the information on this sale, her phone number is ###-###-####, Ext I am sorry but I cannot void out the payment agreement he made with *** Motors or refund his down payment

We have ordered and received the part to fix her window, the mechanic that she seen listed on craigslist was just temporary help until we found a permanent mechanicWe did not know he was being marked as a thief and had his picture on craigslist
by someone, which I believe is illegalWe have now hired a permanent dependable and experienced mechanic and are trying to have this fixed as soon as possible for herWe are sorry this has taken so long, we were not trying to get out of fixing the window for herIt was very hard trying to find a decent reliable mechanicWe would like Ms*** to please call Cody here and have the vehicle brought in for the repairs

I have done research and find it sad that the 5 star ratings that are posted on there page are friends/family and the real customers are the 1 star reviews who are as displeased as we are. This is a shame that a company can take ones money and Clear the codes and reset just long enough for a test drive, as we have taken to 3 mechanics and all the lights and flags go away until I drive it again for a day then all the red flags appear, I am not convinced that after having this for the 12 days AFTER WE PURCHASED THE WARNING LIGHT S DIDN'T COME ON FOR THEM. How if they drove this vehicle at all as he mentioned he drove it as his personal vehicle for a couple days because he wanted it to be perfect for me, if that's the case the lights would have started to flicker after driving for awhile then the whole console goes out, everything and all electrical goes out, It happens to me every time after driving awhile so pretty sure it happened to them. I am again asking for a refund, because doing the 50/50 is unacceptable as they do not do the work they state they will and the work they have done is wrong and can pose a danger. I need something done as I am paying full coverage ins and a loan for 6 thousand dollars on this vehicle and is unsafe and unreliable to drive as I drive on the freeway and it overheats and everything shuts down quit frequently. I am now without a vehicle as I cannot afford to buy another until this one is paid for, Please help me. Thanks[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/23) */
We have talked to the customer and sent her copies of the Loan Agreement with Credit Acceptance. It clearly shows that her $1500.00 was applied to the loan. She also forgot that she purchased an Extended Warranty for $1380.00, this is where her...

dollar amount was off.
Hope this will take care of the problem or misunderstanding.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/11/24) */
I did finally get a copy of my loan paperwork emailed to me from the auto dealership and was able to discuss the reason for my belief that it was wrong. There was a warranty added to the top of the loan for approx. what my deposit was also that I was not aware of but feel I should be able to get a portion of that money refunded now that the loan is being paid off after a few short months

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/08/31) */
We have never received the first or second complaint letter. Can you please verify our address,[redacted] Ramsey, MN 55303. We did received the email sent to us on 8/28/15 about this complaint. This was a 2002 Mercedes that was sold to him...

on 11/16/2014 for $4200.00 that had 129,000 miles on it. That price included tax and transfer fees. The vehicle was purchased AS IS and he did sign the warranty, we will not reimburse for any parts and repairs that were done at another facility. We do offer discount rates on labor and the best price on parts for our customers. Mr. [redacted] immediately took his vehicle somewhere else and then expected us to reimburse him for someone else's repairs. We are sorry it took so long to respond, but we never received complaint in the mail.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/09/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I know I signed an as is warranty and figured they wouldn't pay anything for getting the repairs done by professionals that found the stuff that was wrong with it. The owner was aware I took it somewhere else to get fixed I called him and told him what happened and told me to email the receipts and we'd go from there, didn't think I'd get no response. I would have never brought it to them to get fixed. I didn't need a half a**ed repair to the half a**ed car they sold me. Business should not be ran that way have some integrity and treat your customers right. I figured from reading other complaints they wouldn't pay but knowing this may help someone else out in the future and maybe help this dealer develop some core values on how to treat their customers.

This vehicle was purchased AS IS with NO WARRANTY, total cost of the vehicle was $3500.00 which included tax and transfer fees. I do offer repair work at a discount cost for some of our customers, it was never stated that this would be done for free at NO COST and there was NO 30 Day Warranty. I...

told Mr. [redacted] to drop off the vehicle and when we had a chance we would look at it. Mr [redacted] said he was willing to pay for the parts and then dropped the vehicle off on 5/6/16, I have only one mechanic and we have several other vehicles that needed to be done before this one. Mr [redacted] can take this vehicle at anytime somewhere else that could get it done faster, we are not holding the vehicle. I am willing to repair it at a discounted price, but it could still be another week before we could start on it as we are not a regular Auto Repair Facility and have only one mechanic. I think it would be in his best interest to have someone else do the work as I can't guarantee we would get it done in a time frame that would satisfy Mr. [redacted].Thank YouRyan [redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/09/11) */
Sorry it has taken so long to respond to this complaint. First of all we did not intentionally sell a vehicle knowing that something serious was wrong with it. And trying to make it sound like I took advantage of them because they are Hispanic...

is very untrue, we sell vehicles to all races here and they are all treated equally. I offered Mr. [redacted] that we would try to seal the heads with NO CHARGE at all to them and if that didn't work we would replace the heads and they would be responsible for 50% of the cost of that. We would honor the 50/50 Warranty, the Warranty states that the work must be performed by us. Mr. [redacted] chose to take the vehicle somewhere else for repairs. Again, I did not know the vehicle needed any major repairs prior to selling it. We only had the vehicle in inventory a few days and it seemed to be running fine. We were willing to fix the vehicle but Mr. [redacted] was not willing to pay the 50% of the costs as stated in the Limited Warranty. Please see attached copies of our Warranty. We are sorry, we will not take the vehicle back but we will still honor our Warranty if Mr. [redacted] wants to have us do the repairs at 50/50.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/09/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response from Dumarks did not address the issue. First, Dumarks did NOT offer to try and "seal the heads" at no charge. They offered to do it and charge us 50% of the cost, THEIR cost, which meant spending more than we did with our mechanic. Second, IF the car was even looked at, I did not want Dumarks to try and fix it. My mechanic looked at the car for one hour and had a list of things wrong with the car. IF Dumarks even looked at the car (they said they just got it in) they should have seen the same issues. When asked about the car, the salesman stated "everything is great...great car...no problems". Either the salesman was lying, the service department is inept, or the car was never looked at. Since the engine light came on after 30 miles I am guessing they knew the condition of the car and covered it up. No, we didn't want Dumarks in charge of fixing the car. Third, the salesman said the car would be serviced before we picked it up (three people heard him say it). Oil changed, fluids topped off etc. That was not done. We got the car back to Burnsville and there was no oil or coolant in the car. They allowed us to drive off the lot in a car that was not serviced...again, showing evidence that we wanted nothing to do with this business trying to "fix" the car. In the end, we were sold a car that was a danger to drive. Either through fraud or laziness, Dumarks sold us a car with an engine that needed major repairs. Dumarks refused to work with us on a solution, other than to stand behind a 50/50 warranty that wasn't worth a thing. A good business would have taken this car back (we complained the day after we got it) instead of sticking the consumer with the bill. An unethical business wants all the money it can get and doesn't care how they get it. Dumarks most definitely falls into the latter. if Dumarks wants to make this right, they will take the car back for a lesser price and fix the car right and THEN sell the car. That's how it SHOULD be done (if they want to run a reputable business). It's a shame that a place like Dumarks has to give the "used car" business such a bad name.
