Review: My car was taken to the named business for repairs. After not receiving any follow up on the status, I called my insurance company([redacted]) for an update. The agent informed me that the manager of the business did in fact call me to let me know that the car was ready. I did not receive a phone call so I was a little confused. I let the agent know that I did not receive a phonecall. She provided me with the number for the repair shop. I call and explained that I had not received a phone call which was why I did not come in to pick up the car. She got very "short" and irate stating that she did call. I turned out that my file had the wrong number on it and the [redacted] agent had later provided them with my correct number. She failed to acknowledge this and proceeded to tell me that there was no need for her to explain anything to me, the car is ready now so I just need to come in and pay my deductible and pick up the car and hung up the phone on me. When I tried to call back, there was no answer. My husband called and got the same response.

When I went in to pick up the car on the 16th of June, I asked the young lady if she was aware of who the person was who hung up me over me simply clarifying a miscommunication and she proceeded to tell me that it was her but she is not going to apologize or have this conversation with me. I asked to speak to the manager in hope of lodging a complaint so the business could use this as a learning tool to improved their customer service. She responded with the fact that she was the owner so there was no one else to speak to so I need to pay the money and get out of her shop. She then threatened to call the police. When I told her to please call the police because I didn't appreciate being yelled at, the gentleman that was also there, another employee(I believe his name was Larry) said, "no, don't call the police, i'll deal with her" and picked up where she left off in cursing at me. By then, the owner was in the background saying things like..."look girlfriend, I'm done talking to you". She called someone on the phone and was complaining to them saying, " I guess because she's a sistah, she thinks someone is supposed to be intimidated by her". She kept addressing my by "girlfriend" and "sistah" and escalated to racial and stereotypical language that was extremely offensive. I asked her over and over to please not address me as such because I had been nothing but respectful and called her Miss and Mr. to the gentleman. She was extremely loud and disrespectful. I felt that I had been treated with such disdain that I had to step outside for a moment to breath and call [redacted] before coming back inside to pay the deductible because I needed my car. I cannot believe that after 20 years in the service, being in situations beyond explanations to defend the freedoms of people like this...this was the repayment. All I wanted from the business was a simple acknowledgement of the miscommunication, maybe an apology...something. I would really like for this business to be examined and for them to get some type of customer service/sensitivity training. I do not expect to receive such treatment...especially being called racial slurs and names and being overall disrespected in a business that I'm patronizing. By then, it was too late because my car was already fixed. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a formal apology from this business; I would also like for the staff to undergo sensitivity training...it is not acceptable for the staff to stereotype its customers, degrade them and utter racial slurs at them. I don't think that type of behavior should have to be tolerated by consumers. To be judged unfairly and spoken to...especially by the proprietor of a business is shocking. I have been on Active Duty for 20 years, I earned my Master's degree under arduous circumstances and I deserve to be treated with respect regardless of those accomplishments. I have always respected others...it's innate and I have never felt so violated as I did walking into that business.

Review: I went to [redacted], which is a sole provider of business towards the Dumfries Collision Center in Dumfries, Virginia, where they transferred my car to receive paint. Instead of [redacted] working on my vehicle themselves, they used an outsource vender which is the Dumfries Collision Center for repairs. Little did I know, the customer service representative took the vehicle to Dumfries Collision Center to repair damages that were caused by them in the first place without my consent, whereas I was under the assumption that [redacted] will be handling the repairs. When the customer service representative called from [redacted] to give me updates on the status of my vehicle repairs he indicated to speak to Dumfries Collision Center manager named Rhonda and explain the situation to her. She responded by telling me that I needed to provide an estimate from another body shop indicating that the damage that they caused was not normal "wear-and-tear" but actual damage caused by the shop. I was taken aback by the fact that Dumfries Collision Center worked on the car prior to receiving it again for additional repairs and were not taking responsibility after taking both doors off the vehicle for repair/repainting claiming it was 15 years old and it has normal wear and tear that was caused by the original owner.Desired Settlement: I actually would want an apology and a complimentary service for anything in regards to the car.
