Dear Representative:I am responding to the complaint made by the customer in reference to the above complaint ID#. In March of this year we met Ms. [redacted] through a customer we were doing work. We did not know this customer. We met this customer from a lead we received from HomeAdvisor, a paid...

advertising company for contractors. Mr. B[redacted], the project manager of Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., went out to her home. Ms. [redacted] told Mr. B[redacted], she was in need of a licensed contractor to do the work in her home and that we needed to speak to her mortgage company. Mr. B[redacted] told Ms. [redacted] he was a licensed contractor and showed her his licenses for the state of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr. B[redacted] also told Ms. [redacted] he had been doing home improvement work for over 35 years. Ms. [redacted] told Mr. B[redacted] he needed to speak to her mortgage company. Ms. [redacted] called her mortgage Company and a three-way conversation was held between Ms. [redacted], Mr. B[redacted] and Ms. [redacted] of the mortgage company. Ms. [redacted] asked Ms. [redacted] if she wanted to go with our company, she said that she did. At that point, Ms. [redacted] asked Mr. B[redacted] to handle everything with the mortgage company. Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., drew up a contract for Ms. [redacted], and asked that we work with her mortgage company. At this point We Continued to communicate with the mortgage company and provide them with necessary documents they requested.Once it was established that Dump 2 The Dump, inc., would do the work for Ms. [redacted], she complained that she Smelled mold, but said that her mortgage company said that she did not have enough mold to be harmful. Mr. B[redacted] then said that he would refer her to a mold company. Ms. [redacted] was then referred to 911 Restoration Company. A representative by the name of Johnathan came out and inspected Ms. [redacted]'s home. He gave Mr. B[redacted] a copy of an estimate for over $9,000.00 as well as Ms. [redacted]'s mortgage Company. Mr. B[redacted] and the mortgage company again had a conversation concerning the mold. The mortgage company stated that the mold was not enough to Cover, and that they were not covering the mold, as Ms. [redacted] had been paid for mold in an earlier claim. Mr. B[redacted] told Ms. [redacted] that we were not a mold company, but could help her out, for a lot less.Ms. [redacted] was informed that she needed to come up with a date to start her job, as we had other customers. Ms. [redacted] stated that she would let the mortgage company know to cut the check. We had already completed the paperwork to receive a check to start for $10,000.00. Ms. [redacted] gave us $5,000.00 to start and Mr. B[redacted] asked Ms. [redacted] that we signed off for $10,000.00. Ms. [redacted] stated [redacted] said to just give us $5,000.00 until we do some work. Mr. B[redacted] said okay and then deposited the check.5 days later Ms. [redacted] gave Mr. B[redacted] another check for $5,000.00. Then Ms. [redacted] asked for her money back after we noticed that her signature was different from her signature on her first check. The bank had us contact her, then she became upset.Before we received the check we started working at Ms. [redacted]'s home and packing out her items. Ms. [redacted] was advised to pack her things and we could save her some money and put her items in a storage instead of a pod, as her driveway was to small, as she had two cars. Ms. [redacted] agreed to the storage unit. Mr. B[redacted] and the workers helped Ms. [redacted] pack everything in her kitchen from cleaning out her cabinets to removing the silverware out of her draws. Ms. [redacted]'s home was very cluttered and we assisted her remove all items. We removed all of Ms. [redacted]'s cabinets, sink and cut out all the damaged drywall. At that moment, it was noticed that Ms. [redacted]'s neighbor had mold between the wall on their side. Ms. [redacted]'s lives in a row home. Ms. [redacted] was advised by Mr. B[redacted] that we could not go further without the mold being taken care of from the neighbor's side and that Ms. [redacted] should go after the neighbor to get the mold removed. Ms. [redacted] was told that her walls could not be closed up with the mold issues. Ms. [redacted] was also told that she had illegal wiring and plumbing that needed to be completed as well. Ms. [redacted] was told that we would do whatever we could to assist her.Right away Ms. [redacted] became upset and inpatient concerning the neighbor and our company not being about to move forward. Ms. [redacted] then asked for her money back. Ms. [redacted] was told that we would have to send the check to the mortgage company and not to her. She stated that she gave us the check in Our hand, and wanted the check back in her hand.In closing, Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., is a licensed company, and was licensed at the time we started doing work for Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted]'s mortgage company was given all of the necessary paperwork before a check was ever issued. Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., provided the services to Ms. [redacted] that was agreed upon for the money that was received. Ms. [redacted] became upset as she stated that she thought we would give her a discount. Ms. [redacted] was also informed that she would have to pay out of her pocket as her mortgage company stated that she did not have enough money to cover the job. Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., told Ms. [redacted] that we would help her, and that's what we tried to do from the beginning. Dump 2 The Dump, Inc., rendered the services to Ms. [redacted] and we did not take any money from her except the money that was agreed upon for the work completed.SincerelyJava B[redacted]Owner
