The company is in the business of cleaning furnace ducts. Recommended cleaning time is, apparently, once every two or three years. The company sales person called in the home of the potential customer, who is 94 years of age. The sales person told the customer that his furnace ducts had not been cleaned for two years, but this was false because they had been cleaned the previous year by another company. A sticker acknowledging that this cleaning had been done was in clear view on the front side of the furnace. The customer, my uncle, believed the sales person and did agree to have the furnace ducts cleaned. The company conducted the service and then charged what I believe is an exorbitant fee of $348.00.Desired SettlementI woukd like at least half of the fee reimbursed to my uncle. Why does your company not do this? The biggest problem here is that we have someone who is 94 years old and does not recall when he has last had the furnace ductwork cleaned. A sticker on the furnace would help, but another solution would be to deal with only one company. I am prepared to supply my power of attorney to have my uncle's name taken off of your list of customers.
