Duncan's Automotive Reviews (4)

I am rejecting this response because:I do not agree with what Duncans automotive has said.    They put the wrong type of gas in my car against the manufacturers recommendation.  I did not knowingly drop off the car with no gas. I know there was enough gas in the vehicle. They are responsible for putting the wrong gas in my car. Duncans is not being honest.

Business States she had problems with her wheels a couple thousand miles after we worked on her vehicle. She authorized the invoice that showed that the wheels were unsafe to drive because of the spacers, and once I pointed this out to her she was cool with it and understood. Out of courtesy we...

replaced her rotor for her and she seemed satisfied.

Review: The business put the wrong type of gas in a premium gas only car. They refused to fix their mistake. I need to have the issue fixed before putting it in to storage. It is a classic car.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay the cost to have it fixed. And any other compensation I am owed for time and trouble.

Response:

[redacted], Knowingly dropped his car off for service with no gas in it. (Fuel Gauge below the empty line) It is clearly posted in our front office that your car MUST have fuel in it or there will be a 35.00$ labor plus fuel charge !! Our technicians have to road test the car to diagnos the problem and verify our repairs.

Response:

[redacted]'s vehicle was first serviced on 4/12/14, He requested to set the ignition timing to California Specs and perform a smog test. We performed these services and the truck past smog. We provided such great service to him he returned on 5/20/14 with a electrical issue his truck was having. It was blowing the main ignition fuse. We diagnosed and repaired his vehicle within the $125.00 diagnosis fee. There was a bare wire grounding on a bolt in the steering column. We repaired the wiring & the fuse no longer blew out. We test drove after repairs and the truck drove well at this time. After a while [redacted] called and stated the truck was doing fine until he hit some "bumps" on the freeway. He said that after hitting these "bumps" the truck was now hard to start and is idling rough. He also complained of a whining noise from the engine. We asked him when was a good time for him to return and we would inspect the vehicle at no charge. He made an appointment and was a "no show". He called the next day, I spoke with him and confirmed an appointment for the next day. [redacted] brought the truck in the next day for inspection. Our shop inspected the truck (free of charge) and the repairs we performed were fine. The fuse is not blowing out & the timing is set. We noted a few other issues and informed him of them. The noise he is complaining of is not an obvious problem and he was given recommendations. I even went out with him and showed him these issues in person. I have the invoices available for viewing at your request. I would be more than happy to reinspect the vehicle again at no cost to try and isolate the whining noise. I can be reached at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted] Manager Duncan's Automotive 7366 Auburn Blvd Citrus Heights, CA. 95610
