Dundee Ford

I financed a car from this dealership a couple of months ago and put $5,000 as my down payment. I left with the car that I loved and a set monthly payment amount. After two months of constantly being contacted by the salesman with issues that caused my monthly payment to go up $150 per month, me signing a new contract and then them telling me I needed to sign a third contract. After going through all of that, I told the salesman that I’d bring the car back and they can give me my $5000 back. The Salesman agreed, but when I got there he tried to make me leave the car without the money or proof that he owed it. He said they’d be able to cut a check in 10 business days. I had to demand to get this is writing, which he eventually did. It’s been almost a month, I still haven’t received the check, last week they told me that I should get it the very next day, and now they are avoiding my calls. I’m 22, so I don’t really know what to do. I feel like they took advantage of me because I am a girl and young. This is the first car I tried buying all on my own and they have made this a complete nightmare. Now, I don’t have a car or the money to buy one. What type of a business is this? I am so hurt.

On February 27th of 2020 I purchased a vehicle from Dundee Ford. When I had my mechanic look at the vehicle, they noticed some transmission issues. So, when I purchased the vehicle, Dundee Ford included a 12 month powertrain warranty via Assurant. A week or so later I called the insurance company to start a claim for getting the transmission work going, and they said the contract wasn't in their system yet, and to contact the dealer. I contacted the dealer - talked to their Finance lead, also left a message for their GM (who didn't return my call) - and they told me it would be 30 days until the warranty was available - however, it doesn't state that at all on my contract (the only dates on the contract are the start date of 2/27/20 and the end date of 2/27/21). Realizing I wasn't getting anywhere with the dealer, I decided to wait it out the 30 days and get the repair work done then. I called the dealer on Monday, March 30th, and found that the contract still wasn't executed yet. They said they'd get it executed right away, and to bring the car in so they could get started - I brought it in on Tuesday the 31st. The contract was finally executed on Friday, April 3rd, a full 6 weeks after the initial start date.
