Dunellen Locksmith Reviews (%countItem)

I called the locksmith to come and repair the front door of our business, The Vascular Access Center. It is a panic bar exit with an Allen key type of lock. The Locksmith requested pictures to be texted I complied. Later that afternoon the technician arrived he was friendly went to work on the door. At completion of the work he was preparing the invoice, he asked cash or credit. I explained this is a business and all invoices are submitted to the billing department and paid in 7-10 days per check through the mail.
The technician kept repeating the same thing this is not right we do not do billing only cash or card. I said that if that were the case someone should have said that when I reached out to your company. The technician called his boss Omar, who was rude from the start telling me things like "why do you not want to pay the bill? “you are wasting our time we could have had two other jobs”
I explained that this is a business and that all invoices have to be submitted to corporate and paid out from accounts payable department. I asked why I was not made aware of the cash/credit at work completion. He stated I was, and was rude too very verbally abusive not really wanting resolution. I said for a business owner you are very rude. He accused me of being bias because he spoke with an accent. I explained that was not the case and not relevant to this conversation. The technician then became rude; he said why you don’t pay with your credit card or cash. I explained I do not carry my personal credit cards in my work bag. Omar stated "how convenient for you." I wanted to end the conversation as I felt they were trying to intimidate me over the phone and now the technician was now mirroring the words of the person on the phone.
I explained I can only submit the invoice if this is not acceptable you have to let me know your course of action. Omar the voice on the phone told the technician to reverse the work completed. I said if that is your choice that was fine. However the door was locked when you arrived and I need it to lock after you reverse the work to ensure the building security.
The technician was now upset saying “ I will not get paid now because of you”. I felt unsafe alone in the building with all of the aggression that was being directed at me, I called the police. I also was standing where I could see the work being undone I wanted to make sure the door would lock, I saw the van outside and noticed no advertising or name of the business so I took a picture of the license plate. The technician exclaimed “taking a picture of the license plate will not help you”. I then went inside and locked the door until the police arrived. I am aware now of the damages to the lock and the need to replace the panic bar. Replacing the panic bar lock is between $800-$900 according to the new locksmith.I refused to use my personal credit cards even though that is what they were demanding, so they were not paid. Which is why I believe they damaged the lock. I also received a text from the business phone number stating “Don’t think its cool We lost 2 jobs because of you”
