order number [redacted] was placed on October 14, 2013. He ordered a size large even though he was a medium and then complained that it did not fit properly. We told him to return it and at no charge we resized it to a medium as per our return policy. This was not resized because of a defect. It was resized because the customer ordered the wrong size.
The original email from the customer to us was received March 5, 2014. After over 4 months and admittedly wearing the item 20+ times he is complaining about the product. This is well beyond any acceptable exchange period. Unfortunately we have no control as to whether or not the customer has provided proper care for these garments as stated on the care labels. Care instructions are also found on our website. We have no idea what elements the customer has exposed these items to. Swimwear is often exposed to chlorinated pools and spas for extensive amounts of time as well as tanning oils, long bouts in the sun, etc.
We stand by our products and if a customer receives an item with an issue we will correct the problem in a timely manner. Our return policy is very clear. We create quality products and have had countless numbers of repeat customers who have been purchasing from us over and over for many years.
This customer's last email to us closed with the following:
"Go [redacted] YOURSELF" as well as other derogatory remarks.
We love our customers and have a large and loyal customer base but do not find it necessary to do business with anyone behaving in this manner.
