Mrs*** brought her car in on or about August 24thHer complaint related to window operation.I will tell you that our policy is to test drive every car before and after a repair if it is safe to do soThe reason for this policy is (1) to insure the mechanical condition of the car is okay before
the work is done, if not the customer is advised and (2nd) to insure that the repairs were done properly afterwards.We do not determine if there is any road tar that may or may not be acquired after a test drive, after all, this is while driving Arizona highways.I apologize if Mrs*** thinks that we caused this, but the only thing we ever note in this regard is damage to a vehicle that we notice when a vehicle is brought in to us. We don't inspect for dirt or tar from the road.It would not be proper for me to address "he said she said" as I was not in the roomWhat I do know is that there was a police officer in the room at the time waiting for her car and after the fact she told me that *** said nothing that was inappropriate while talking with this customer.Lastly, we do not carry the chemicals required for safely removing road tar without damaging the finish as we are not a body or detail shop.We are happy to provide her a carwash at our facility if this would help.*** ***Owner

*** *** If the person responding to my complaint had read the complaint they would have read that we removed the tar ourselvesAlso, ***, at Pete Nelson Automotive, stated after giving many excuses, that a car wash, soap and water, would take the tar offThis Nissan is in premo condition and we trusted Pete Nelson Automotive to respect that and to return the car in the same condition it was in when I left itAny reputable repair shop would have removed the tar before I came to pick it upWe were well aware of the female police office in the shopShe was entering when I was examining the carBUT she did not come outdoors with *** when we showed him all the tar on the passenger front fenderNor did she hear what he said, but the person with me didAnd that was that my car had not left the shop*** only stated it had been "test driven" when I went back in after I checked the mileage on the carIt was one excuse after another. I WANT NOTHING from Pete Nelson Automotive and will never trust them, nor will many of our friends that live here or come for the winter, trust them with their carsThe response from Pete Nelson Automotive says all of what kind of people they are how they value their customers and their property. *** ***
