I visited this place for my first tattooI did enjoy the atmosphere and polite workersHowever, I shall not be returning due to their lack of knowledge in regards to the care of a tattooThis being my first tattoo (And the tattoo artist, ***, knowing this) I expected a lot of information on how to care for my tattooAs well as accurate information I was told to leave the clear film on for to days and then use lotion on the tattooIt sounded odd to leave the film on for so long, but I figured she would know bestI reconfirmed that I was to leave it on for that length and then take it off when it began to healI could only leave it on for about days as it began to get itchyThe removal of the sticky film was more painful than the tattoo itselfAfter talking with some tattooed friends and researching this I found that it is suggested to only leave it on for a few hours AT MOST Not to mention that leaving the bandaging on for so long increases the chances of infection due to the moisture and heat being trapped in the filmShe also never mentioned washing it once I remove the wrapping, just to put some lotion on it Perhaps giving paperwork on proper tattoo care would be a good changeAt least for those that are first timers
