in response to this complaintthe customer purchased the car on 10/24/We offered to fix the car for the customerThe customer left the car in lake havasu city for us to pick up When we went to pick up the car it had been in a front end accidentAnthony was notified to call his insurance company and file a claim and /or the police departmentWe didn't feel comfortable picking up the car because of the damageHe supposedly called his insurance company and was supposed to handle this accidentAs per contractAnthony has to have full coverage insurance as long as he has the car financed with our dealershipIt's his responsibility to inform his insurance company and file a claim not our dealershipsHe is still legally responsible for the carHis accusations of us selling him a lemon or calling us names on social media is slander and he is liable for any of his remarksIf he has insurance and did file a claim his insurance company will total out the car and he will get reimbursed for the car through his insuranceIf he did not he is in breach of contract and we will sned him to collections and or small claims court for the balance he owes on the contract

in response to the complaintMr [redacted] had filled out a credit application giving us permission to run his creditwe only pulled his credit bureau one timeWe had sent over the deal to some of our banks to try to get mr [redacted] a loanBecause of his credit the banks denied him of a loanThe van was on consignment and we were unable to in house finance him on this vehicleWe didn't do anything to ruin his creditWe did pull a credit bureau one time as authorized by Mr [redacted] We are sorry we couldn't get him a loan on the van and are unable to help him with a vehicle We are deeply and truly sorry for any misunderstandings and for not being able to approve him on a loan

Purchased a car from Dunton Motors, still haven't receive our plate and registration after 50 days. We went into Dunton Motors to get a 30 days temporary and they said they couldn't figure out how to print it out. They say they do all of their MVD paper work through Dealer Services and they wouldn't call Dealer Services while I was there to try and find where my plate was. I spent 3 days in a row at the MVD both in Kingman, AZ and Bullhead City, AZ trying to fix this problem. The MVD states our car is still in someone else's name.

In the mean time, I had another car on consignment with Dunton Motors. Without my permission, they stuck a Dunton Motors sticker on my cars paint, removed my stickers out o MY back window, removed my license plate cover and left my sunroof open and got large water stains on my headliner. They had also told us that they would advertise my car on many websites, that was a lie, it was finally put on their own web sit after a month of sitting there, and never advertised anywhere else. Needless to say that car was removed from consignment.

My experience with Dunton Motors was a nightmare to say the least!

Review: We purchased a car from Dunton Motors less than a year ago somewhere between April and June. When we first went there to look at cars we asked for a car with a working air conditioner. After we purchased it we were told that the a/c compressor needed to be replaced. We took the car back to Dunton three weeks in row for them to fix the a/c compressor and it was excuse after excuse. We than finally took it to a local mechanic who told us that in fact the a/c compressor was not broken it just needed to be plugged in. He also informed us that the wiring under the hood needed to be replaced. We have fixed the wheel bearing on it 2x's already. The shocks now need to be replaced which is 1398 dollars. We have had to have the a/c fixed twice along with the a/c line needing to be replaced.Desired Settlement: We would like either for Dunton to pay for the cost to replace everything that needs to be fixed or we would like for us to be able to hand in the car as "lemon" and have no further responsibility to the loan. We would also like for this not to affect our credit report.

If this can not be negotiated than we will keep the car but Dunton will pay for an outside mechanic to fix it.

[redacted] purchased the 2005 Honda civic from Dunton Motors in August 2012. At the time of the sale on the purchase order we had stated that the a/c compressor wasn't working and the customer wanted to take the car the way it was and Dunton Motors had agreed that we would replace or repair the ac so it worked properly for mr. [redacted]. These repairs were made on Sept. 12th . The customer was satisfied when he picked the vehicle with the a/c and we haven't heard any complaints or problems with the car from [redacted] until he made this complaint with the Revdex.com. We find it very strange that Mr. [redacted] would wait 7 months to complain about the car. The car had 179000 miles on it when it was purchase and was sold as/is in as-is condition except for the a/c which we had agreed in writing to fix. There was a 6 month warranty on parts and labor for the a/c in writing at the time the car was picked up. If mr. [redacted] had any problems with the a/c he could bring the car back to Dunton Motors because he had a warranty with it.
