Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
I have yet to be compensated for work to repair the transmission. The second invoice will be sent to them soon, and the owner of the shop has stated "feel free to have them call me if I can help with this situation."
I would like assurances that the business a) will continue to honor their year warranty; and B) that they will do so immediately upon receiving any invoice regarding this transmission, from any mechanic that I find necessary to utilize. I will not return to their shop.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
"The management" apparently is willing to make things up to pad a case that is indefensible.  I did not thank them for the 8 days of waiting for the repair when I returned the vehicle to them.  I was so disgusted I could barely look at Tony when I picked it up.  I did not take the car in to the other mechanic for a "safety check" which "the management" claims should absolve them of releasing a vehicle to me with loose torque converter bolts. I will be having the torque converter replaced or repaired at another shop, and I will file suit against Duramax in small claims for the expense.  And no matter what "the management" says, this case will not be closed until a judge says so. I notice that Duramax still has an A+ rating, despite all this.  No wonder they are not motivated to make things right.

MISS [redacted] CALLED OUR SISTER SHOP J&l AND WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE BYE PHONE AND WAS ALSO INFORMED OF THE POSSIBLE COST OF ADDITIONAL  REPAIRS MAY ACCRUED COST BUT WILL NOT KNOW UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION WAS OPENED TO SEE THE DAMAGE THAT WAS CAUSED AND ALSO SHE TOLD US THAT THERE WAS A USED...

TRANSMISSION IN THE BACK OF THE PICK UP BED THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USED BUT WE ADVISED HER THAT IT WAS A WHOLE DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION IT COULD NOT BE USED FOR PARTS TO FIX HER ORGANELLE TRANS SO I GAVE HER THE ESTIMATE OF REPAIRS AND THE REASON OF THE COST AND SHE HAD FLIPPED OUT OF THE COST AND STARTED TO SAY SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR IT AND ALSO I GAVE HERE AN OPTION OF A FINANCE COMPANY WE DEAL WITH CALLED EASY PAY AND SHE WAS DECLINED OF HER CREDIT SITUATION AND I CALLED HER A FEW DAYS LATER TO TELL HER THAT WE HAD LOWERED THE COST DOWN TO $2300.00 AND SHE HAD SAID NO TO IT ALSO SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS BUT FOR US TO DO IT FOR FREE SO SHE HAD ASKED ME ABOUT WHAT SHE OWES US FOR AND I TOLD HER $300 TO REMOVE TRANSMISSION AND THE TOW BILL FROM HER TOWN TO THE SHOP WAS $120.00 THEN SHE HAD SAID IT WAS ALL FREE TOWING AND ALL THE LABOR WAS FREE I EXPLAINED YES ITS FREE WHEN THE REPAIRS GET DONE AT THE SHOP SO SHE REFUSED AND STOPED ALL CALL FROM US

SERVICE AND THAT WE WILL REFUND THE INVOICE THE YOU HAD PAID FOR FROM THE INSPECTION FROM THE OTHER SHOP BUT SIR WE JUST RECEIVED IT ON 7/28/16 SO THAT WAS WITHIN THE 3 DAYS IT TOOK TO GET IT TO US SO YES WERE RESPOND QUICKLY ON THIS MATTER AND AS FAR AS THE TORQUE CONVERTER BOLTS THAT YOU SAY WAS LEFT LOOSE THAT WAS NEVER MENTION IN YOUR LETTER THE YOU HAVE SENT WITH THE INVOICE FROM THE OTHER SHOP BUT YOUR TYPING IT IN THIS COMPLAINT YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND ALSO IT DOES NOT MENTION IT IN THE REPORT THE OTHER SHOP HAD GAVE YOU SO WE RECOGNIZE THE ISSUE AND WE WILL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IN THE NEAR FUTURE SO THAT THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN

I am rejecting this response because:What the business is not completely true.  I did call J&L Transmissions because their add said that they had a location in Albany (see attachment Screenshot_2017-06-02-16-12-03). They quoted me a price of $1310 to repair my truck and that their was a possibility of two additional parts that were not included in the quote, if they needed to be replaced totaling about $500, making the maximum cost of about $1800 and the person that gave my the quote agreed that it would be about $1800 as a maximum cost. This is why I went ahead and set up to have my truck repaired.  I as also told that it would only take 2 to 3 days to get it fixed.After the tow truck driver got to my truck loaded on my truck, he gave me two cards. One for his towing company, and the other he said was for the business that it was going to, Duramax.  He was also the one that told me that I was getting my transmission rebuilt, not replaced.Almost a week later, I finally heard back on my truck, just to find out that the tore my transmission apart and now want $2600 to repair my truck, Double the minimum cost and $800 more that the maximum. They did give me a link to a shady financing site, making sure to to tell me to put down my rent as no more that 25% of my total income (see attachment Screenshot_2017-06-15-09-06-41).The next day, I called them back to find out that they wanted $468 to get my truck back as-is, or they could finish the job for $2300, still $500 over the maximum. At this, I did get upset. I feel that they are pulling a switch and bait, and after doing some research, found that they do this frequently. Checkout these reviews (make sure to look at the reviews that are NOT recomended too):[redacted] After finding these reviews, and others, I do not want them to repair my truck. I just want it back, so I can have a more reputable business repair my truck. This company is very dishonest and misleading. I will never recommend them to anyone, and have also reported them to the Consumer Complaints division of the District Attorney's office, and I am consulting with an attorney.
