I bought a car today from Durham Auto Mart
I am very happy that they listened to my real wants in a car and supplied it for me
It is a cylinder Ford Fusion, and I am delighted with itThey helped me in test driving, and in taking back my rental car
I would recommend to anybody interested in a used car to check with them firstThey have used cars of every make so you have way more choice than going to regular car dealer

Ran My Credit On 6/8/2015 Without Consent. I Had The Car Since September 2013, Mr. [redacted] Recently Reposessed The Car After It Was Wrecked. He Has Had The Car Since 5/20. Since I Have Had The Car It Has Been Multiple Problems. I Have Paid 8,600 On A Car Within A Year And A Half. I Thought It Was Reported To My Credit But It Wasn't. I Don't Want It On My Credit Now Because It Hasn't Been, So The Question Is Why Did He Run My Credit After The Car Was In His Possession. I Took The Insurance Check When I Received It, And He Receipted Me For Giving It To Him In Hand.Desired SettlementI Want You Guys To See That This Business Has Not Only Gotten Me, But Others As Well. I've Spent Alot Of Money On A Lemon Car. Since The Accident He's Going To Resale A Car That Isn't Worth It In The Long Run. Multiple Problems On The Car But I Don't Want Them Running My Credit Without Approval. Nor This Car Should Be On My Credit When It Hasn't Been Since I Had The Car.Business Response Good evening. Yes Miss [redacted] purchased a car from us back in September of 2013. She got 3 months behind on her payments so we ran her information to locate her. Based on the [redacted] and Drivers Privacy Act we have the right to do so for Collections and or locating a Debtor. Based on my records we ran her credit on 05/20/15 at 11:41 am not 06/08. I'm not sure where she is getting her information from?Also she stated the car was a Lemon but it is running fine and the repo guys drove it in. She purchased the car with 161,000 miles and now the odometer reads 251,000 so she has put over 90,000 miles on it so it must have been running pretty good! Also the car was wrecked when we repossessed it so we filed claim with her insurance company. The Adjuster came and agreed to pay the damages minus her deductible. However they would not pay for all the damages. The car had been keyed all over with profanity and words I cant type here. So we had to pay the 500 deductible and get the complete car repainted before we can even began to resale it. The reason she had the Insurance check was because the Insurance Company sent the chk to her address and it was made payable to Her and Durham's Auto Mart since we are the Lien Holder. Its unfortunate that we had to repossess her car for what ever reason but 3 months is not acceptable and the car was drivable. Let us know if you have any further questions. Second Of All, I Files The Complaint With My Insurance Company, So That Was A Lie That They Did. Lastly,The Car Was A Lemon. But I Don't Care About The Car Anymore. I Wasted Alot Of Money With Durham Auto Mart. Like I Said They Weren't Obligated To Run My Credit After They Had Ppssession Of The [redacted]. So That Car Shouldn't Be On My Credit What So Ever Sue zto The Fact That It Has Never Been On My Credit. Thanks

It is a 4 cylinder 2012 Ford Fusion, and I am delighted with it. They helped me in test driving, and in taking back my rental car.
I would recommend to anybody interested in a used car to check with them first. They have used cars of every make so you have way more choice than going to regular car dealer.

Complaint They arent replacing my rims that won't hold air die to pitting on the chrome, they wanted to offer before the air issue a set of different size and We purchased a [redacted] from them on July 10,2015. We got it home saw that the tires had gashes in various areas on them, they replaces with used tires. The rims are 24" chrome , when I brought to their attention that the rims were pitting they wanted to offer smaller used rim from another car on lot. I said that's no what I have and would want the same ones. They said no can do, can't keep asking things to get fixed after the fact. Though I bought it from them because they warranty the car for 6 months. They then said we don't warranty tires ok well its the rim causing the issue. They have peeling chrome all on the interior and exterior of the rim. So it is causing the tire to not hold air . We deserve a car I don't have to put air in the tires daily and not have constant issues that they should have fixed before selling to anyone. Especially one that costs 35k used! Then I had to go buy wheel lock key and new luggs they didn't have key so they broke them off at their Svc dept. then I had to go buy the luggs and key they put wrong size on which I have still as proof. The oil hadn't been changed on vehicle before we bought it. We found this out after going on 2k mile trip coming home and having issues with it. They did replace a part so they said when we took it back in and had them do oil change, their answer was "we assumed it was changed before we bought it at auction. I have had a leak which is hopefully fixed the salesman gave me a man to call to come take care of it. After two tries hopefully fixed. I had to replace the windshield, the front and rear had large cuts in the glass from previous owner that we weren't able to tell weren't wiper marks that would come off until our first time washing it. As well they didn't put new wipers on it either they're old and don't work at all. Still have those too. Just because the car is sold as a used car doesn't mean the customer wants to buy it without any maintenance done to it at all. There was also a broken piece in the console which the sales person said they would replace which I never pushed for, but it prevents use of the compartment being used. This is a $248 part. We were going to replace it and decided to wait due to the cost. We shouldn't be the one spending more money when we already spent 35k purchasing it,which is well over [redacted] book. I was fine with that price when we thought we were getting a vehicle in decent condition. Desired SettlementI am in the process of having the new wheels sent to me . I would like to be refunded for the cost of the new wheels, as well as the mounting and balancing cost. The cost of the new wheels are less money than the ones I currently have. The ones on the vehicle are factory GM chrome 24" wheels .I would also like to be refunded for the front windshield I already replaced and for the back window which I am going to need to replace asap. It is an obstruction of view with the scratches that are in the rear glass . I would also like to be paid for the broken compartment so I can replace that as well. Business Response We at Durham's Auto Mart do everything we can to make our customers happy and to make our pre-owned cars as new as possible. However as hard as we try, they are not brand new. They are used. Mrs. [redacted] did contact us 3 days after she purchased the SUV and was complaining about marks and cuts on the exterior side wall of her tires. After reviewing the tires I realized her concern. Even though it was only cosmetic I wanted her to be happy so I agreed to replace the tires with a used set that we had just purchased from customer that upgraded his tires to a larger size. She also complained about the Oil Pressure gauge in the [redacted] being irregular. Even though the oil pressure was in normal operating range we installed a new Oil sending unit to try and appease her. It had no effect but she was satisfied with our efforts. Mrs. [redacted] did buy new lock lugs because [redacted] did not have her correct size when we replaced her tires. I gladly reimbursed her the $60.00 and gave her $40.00 extra for gas and trouble. I have text from her thanking me for all we had done and it even says she was "so glad to have it back and I absolutely love it". Almost 2 months later on October 17 I received a phone call from Mrs. [redacted] saying she wasn't happy with her tires. She said that all 4 are leaking and she has to stop every other day and put air in them. She said she already had priced them and they are $1,200 and If I didn't buy her new tires she was going to go online and give me bad reviews. I'm pretty sure all 4 tires aren't leaking at the same time and if they were she wouldn't have waited almost 2 months to contact me. I tried to explain to her my position and that we sell used cars. I offered to check the tires and see if I could find nails or reseal the tire to the rim. I also offered to sell her a new set of tires at my dealer cost and mount and balance for free. She got very loud and said "I'm not driving an hour and set in your NASTY Showroom while your LAZY mechanics check my car so you can Sell me a set of tires! I knew at that point that there was nothing I could do to make her happy. I appreciate her business but I recommend with her expectations she needs to purchase brand new cars in the future. I have pictures of the tires the rims and the back window that she claims is an "obstruction of view ". I can attach them for reference. I don't think she is being rational.
