This is in response to your letter dated May 31, 2016 regarding [redacted] and her2008 Jeep Patriot, VIN [redacted]. The ID is [redacted] purchased this Jeep on March 7, 2015 from Durocher Auto Sales, our Dodge.Chrysler Jeep Store. The Jeep had 76634 miles at that...

time and came with a New York StateDealer Limited Used Passenger Vehicle Warranty, The coverage is for 60 days or 3000 mileswhichever comes first and is limited to Engine, Transmission, Drive Axle, Brakes (somecomponents) Radiator, Steering (certain components), and Alternator, generator, starter &ignition system (except battery). It also came with a Mopar Pre-Owned added Care Pluswarranty which covers many more components but not ALL components. The Mopar plancarries a $ 100.00 deductible per repair visit. There is a copy of the warranty included with thisletter. The first repair done after [redacted] bought the Jeep was a 4 wheel alignment. We had to ordersome parts before she picked it up and it wasn't completed beforehand. See attached RO 41771dated 3/9/15. Durocher Auto Sales paid for this repair. The next time the Jeep was in was May 25. 2015 RO [redacted] for an oil change. Mileage: 80510.This was covered by the Mopar service contract.3rd time in was June 4, 2015 RO [redacted]. Mileage was 82728. The NYS Dealer warrant}' isexpired. This was brought to Durocher Kia; not the selling dealer. There were 5 concerns...A: Arattle noise over bumps. This noise could not be confirmed on the diagnostic road test. B: Agrinding noise when backing up. This noise was confirmed and taken to Durocher Auto Sales tohave their technician hear it as well. It was heard by one of their techs. [redacted] was advised toschedule the Jeep at the Jeep dealer because it was covered by her Mopar contract. C: [redacted]observed that a piece of trim on the passenger seat bottom was broken. She was given anestimate of repairs but no repairs were done. D: Drivers door makes a popping sound whenopening and closing...we lubricated the door pins and latch and the noise stopped. E: [redacted]stated that intermittently when accelerating from a stop the vehicle seems to have a skip. Thiswas not verified on the road test. [redacted] was not charged for any of these concerns.4ih visit was to Durocher Auto Sales on July 31,2015 at 82824 miles. The Customer Concernwas the transmission noise and the Check Engine Light was on. The transmission noise was notdetected on the road test. The check engine light was repaired by replacing the gas tank fillerneck and cap. No charge to the customer.Part of visit 4 was a repair to the left front turn signal which was corroded. Again there was nocharge to [redacted] even though the vehicle was out of warranty.5lh visit was to Durocher Auto Sales on November 13. 2015 for a routine maintenance with oilchange. RO [redacted]. mileage 85804. No charge, part of the Mopar contract.6lh visit was back to Durocher Kia on January 12, 2016. RO [redacted] mileage: 87798. Thecomplaint was there is a clunk coming from under the vehicle. She was unsure if it was the frontor the rear. We found the right rear upper control arm bushing was loose. The bushing is acovered component under the Mopar contract so we advised [redacted] to take it to the Jeep dealer.Durocher Auto Sales for the repair. [redacted]'s mother, [redacted] called and said she hadtaken the vehicle to another shop and she was told that it needed both rear struts and assortedother components. We advised we would be glad to put the Jeep up on the lift and show her whatwas wrong. The Jeep was not brought back so we have not done that. No charge to [redacted].The 7Ih visit was back to Durocher Kia on2/8/16, RO [redacted], mileage 88636. The complaint wasa grinding noise from the engine bay area. We verified the concern and found the serpentine belttensioner and idler pulley bearings to be very noisy. We replaced both of them and then foundthe alternator bearings to be noisy as well. The pulley bearings were so noisy they masked thenoise from the alternator. Since the alternator is a covered component we advised [redacted] to go tothe Jeep dealer. Customer pay amount SI 33.80. This is the only time [redacted] has paid anythingfor maintenance for this vehicle. The mileage driven since purchase is 12353 miles. The last visit was at Durocher Auto Sales on 2/23/16 RO [redacted], mileage: 88955. The lsl concernwas for the grinding noise in engine bay.. .the alternator was replaced. Next was for a list ofcomplaints her mother was bringing in, next was the speedo needle moves slowly whenaccelerating, no problem was found on the road test. Next was a clunking crunching noise in theright front over bumps, It was heard one time during the road test. It was noted the sway bar bushingswere dry and that could be the problem. The repair was declined. And last was a water leak from themap light on the driver"5 side mostly. We cleaned out the sun roof drains and water tested. No leaksfound after that. [redacted] did not pay for any of these services including the $100.00 deductible that wasdue,This is a summary of repairs that were done to this Jeep,The dealer has gone above and beyond the warranty, including covering the $100.00 deductible on 2occasions. As you can see, the first repair was something that we planned for before the vehicle waspurchased. Most of the concerns were not verified and the only repair that was paid for was not atDurocher Auto Sales, but at Durocher Kia. The request for money back is unreasonable especially sincethere has been nothing paid to the dealer, Durocher Auto Sales. The customer has been very demandingand unreasonable and the decision was made by the owners of the dealership that since it wasimpossible to please this customer that she should take her vehicle elsewhere for future services. Thiswas passed on by the service manager at the Jeep dealer, We are not offering any more free repairs onthis vehicle under any circumstance.Sincerely,Lawrence DurocherPresident

CUSTOMER MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE TIPM REPLACED-WHICH HE STATED WOULD BE PAID FOR BY THE COMPANY THAT HE PURCHASED TEH CAR FROM. HE WAS TOLD FROM ANOTHER FACILTIY THAT IT WAS FAULTY-HE STATED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE FLASHING, THE HORN WOULD BLOW, THE HAZARD LIGHTS WOULD FLASH - ALL BY...

THEMSELVES WHILE DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE WOULD GO INTO LIMP MODE. TECH DROVE THE CAR INTO THE SHOP, HE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL 1/2D TURN AND THE HORN BLEW, HE TURNED IT BACK AND THE HORN STUCK ON. HE JIGGLED THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE HORN STOPPED. WE CHECKED FOR FAULT CODES WITH THE COMPUTER- HAD CODES FOR CAN B BUS. WE CALLED HE COMPANY THAT HE PURCHASED THE CAR FROM-THEY AUTH TO REPLACE THE CLOCKSPRING AND 1 1/2 HRS LABOR. HE STATED THAT THE COMPANY HE PURCHASED THE CAR FROM WOULD FINANCE ALL OF THE REPAIRS IN HIS CAR PAYMENTS. WE REPLACED BOTH PARTS. THE LIGHTS DID NOT FLICKER AT THIS TIME, BUT THE HORN WAS STILL NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. WE CALLED CUSTOMER, LET HIM KNOW THAT WE WOULD NEED MORE TIME TO DIAGNOSE ELECTRICAL CONCERN, HE AUTHORIZED IT. TECH PERFORMED FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OF THE WIRING FROM THE HORN SWITCH TO THE TIPM-THE FAULT CODES WOULD CHANGE FROM ACTIVE TO STORED. 8/11/17-ADVISED CUSTOMER THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE WIRING, BUT COULD NOT TELL HIM HOW MUCH MORE IT WAS GOING TO COST. HE DID NOT WANT TO GO FURTHER-LET HIM KNOW THAT THE BODY WIRING HARNESS WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM THE FACTORY. HE WAS ALSO HAVING CONCERNS WITH THE COMPANY THAT HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM AS TO WHAT WAS BEING PAID BY THEM. (CUSTOMER WAS KEPT UP TO DATE WITH ALL FINDINGS WHILE THE CAR WAS IN THE SHOP). THE CUSTOMER WAS AWARE OF THE AMOUNT OF THE REPAIRS AS WE WERE PROCEEDING DURING THEM.WHEN CUSTOMER CAME TO PICK VEHICLE UP ON 8/17, THERE WERE SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS ON IN THE DASH. WE LOOKED AT THE WIRING FURTHER-AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER. HAD MULTIPLE CAN B BUS FAULT CODES. WHEN CHECKING THE 1ST SPLICE IN THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE LEFT FRONT FENDER AREA, THE CODES WOULD GO ACTIVE/INACTIVE ON THE TOPOLOGY WHEN MOVING THE HARNESS,  FURHTER DIAGNOSIS INTO THE WIRING HARNESS TO FIND THE SHORT(S) WOULD BE NEEDED.
