[redacted] bought my personal vehicle from me in 2014, at this time the vehicle had no association with the [redacted], the vehicle was never owned by the company or represented as such, the transaction was between a private seller to a private buyer with no association with...

[redacted].  Over the past three years I personally have been giving [redacted] my time and advice to help with problems he had in the ownership of a 40 year old Classic 4x4 this was done for free as [redacted] requires payment for consultation and advice.  [redacted] Contacted us in May about servicing his vehicle in May we too the vehicle on in June and the vehicle was on the lift on June 23rd. We did a complimentary inspection (normally $300) and found many major issues with the vehicle, suspension, cooling system, fuel system, engine condition and the condition of the electrics, the coolant was nonexistent and the oil was black and full of sludge, It was very clear [redacted] did not take care of this vehicle at all and had no awareness of the condition of the vehicle.  On June 27th I sent [redacted] an initial summary of the work I believed was urgent and needed to be completed for safety and for the long term viability of the vehicle.  [redacted] Declined most of these services and we worked out a plan to help do a few things while keeping in his budget. We agreed and [redacted] gave us the go ahead to get started and order parts. Parts come from Europe and again this is a 40 year old vehicle so they were on back order and weren't going to be available until early august late July.  I informed [redacted] of the delays as soon as I was aware.  The vehicle was started on with the cooling system on 24th of July and began disassembling the car in anticipation of the parts arriving.  Upon taking apart the cooling system I found more issues and red flags, common with cars over 20 years old as so much differed maintenance happens on older vehicles.  The engine was in a very bad state, the timing chain housing that [redacted] suggested making a noise had many issues and broken parts and the valve train did as well.  I informed [redacted] of this as well as did a compression test for free (normally $150) to see what other issues this motor was having and I discovered that the engine had low compression and was in need of major work.  I advised [redacted] of this and we graciously changed our entire plan to help keep him close to his budget. At that point the major focus of the project was the engine being rebuilt, as I though [redacted] was a friend at the time I agreed to take the project on very slowly in my free time as the hours on the project would have far exceeded his budget at this point.  [redacted] grew impatient as he wanted his car done fast and cheap which is impossible. I kept [redacted] up to date completely in the project however his impatience got the best of him. After putting more than 30 hours of labor into this truck it was at a point close to finished however it was not finished so I spoke to [redacted] and told hm he could have his truck done faster if he paid more and had our mechanic do it at normal labor hours, he agreed to an initial 8 hours then again to another 8 hours, after those 16 hours we were to send the project as is.  When it came time for payment [redacted] did to want to pay for those hours and a conflict ensued. In order to resolve this conflict [redacted] Agreed to [redacted]'s insulting offer in order to free up space in our shop.  Even after we agreed [redacted] continued to be upset with our 3 payment methods and we accommodated him once again with the payment method of his choice.
