DV Moore, Inc. Reviews (7)

We, including the mechanic, told the warranty company that it was a blown head gasket on two cylinders. The warranty company said that it was not covered under her warranty. After that I told the machine shop to resurface the head for replacement because it would have to be done to be put back on the car. I feel we were more than fair in discounting her bill over $500.00. The fact is that the warranty company did not cover the work, but she is ultimately responsible whether they covered it or not. The amount agreed upon for payment is less than the tear down cost that she agreed to. She said she had some other things wrong with her car but did not bring it back to us for repair. We listed on her invoice that other work was needed. Please feel free to contact us for further information.

I read the complaint. Ms*** brought her Mitsubishi Eclipse to DVMoore, Inc., for repair. She brought a number in for us to call her warranty in for repair of her car. She did not bring in the paperwork that would indicate what was covered under her warranty.
I asked her to come in to do a conference call with the warranty company after analysis of her car so that we would all receive the same information, which I felt was the fair thing to do. The warranty company wanted her to approve the tear down cost. She did approve. The tear down cost was $plus tax. We did tear down the vehicle and send her head to the machine shop. After sending her head to the machine, we call the warranty company and notified them of the findings. The warranty company said the work was not covered under her warranty. After the warranty company said they would not cover it, the machine shop resurface the head. Ms*** and her Mother came to shop after the warranty company did not approve repairs of her vehicle. The warranty company told her that because the machine shop resurface the head is why they would not cover the repair. This was necessary in order to put the head back on the vehicle. She felt that she was not responsible for bill because of this. We made an agreement for her to only pay $which is less than the tear down cost. Not only did we take the cost down, but we also gave them a payment plan. No repair shop will let you take your vehicle home without your bill being paid in full. So she is essentially saying that she does not want to pay for work received. A lot of her work was held up by the warranty company. We would like to know why she does not have a problem with the warranty company that she is paying to cover her vehicle. The problem was taken care of. She has not expressed any dissatisfaction with the work that was done on her vehicle. The original amount of the invoice was $1176.04. We discounted the bill by $

I am rejecting this response because: I have indeed had problems with my vehicle since then, but due to Ms***'s unprofessional nature when I informed her of this complaint I decided not to take it back to that shopShe isn't telling the real storyThe warranty company said I would be responsible IF the head was crackedSo once the head was found to be warped I never received any call avout the warranty company denying the claim until I called her a week laterBy that time Ms*** already had the head fixed.

I am rejecting this response because:
After I informed Mrs. [redacted] that I would be contacting the Revdex.com in regards to this complaint she hung up the phone in my face and I felt that going back to that particular shop wouldn't be a good idea. I am not a mechanic therefore I wouldn't know whether anything was done intentionally to mess my car up any further. No agreement was made after I expressed my concern with her pricing. I was told that she would contact me with another amount, but she didn't have time to do it on that day due to a hair appointment. She then went forward with the previously stated price. She ([redacted]) also called my mother at her job ranting about how insulted she felt about me wanting to contact the Revdex.com in regards to this matter. I would just rather just call it even. I don't owe her anything and she/the company doesn't owe me anything.
