While the product itself seems adequate the front door shutter was put on so it had to be closed from the inside When I phoned and explained I would not have entry to the house because the garage door would also be unavailable due to the hurricane equipment, I was told to reverse it myself, which in fact I did Also upon requesting a letter stating shutters had in fact been installed, as requested by the insurance company, I was told that was not possible So in making copies of all my information I found that I had been over charged for the permitWhen I called to inquiry it was explained that I was placed in the wrong county and to subtract the difference from the final bill (this is the second time that happened since years earlier back shutters had been installed) Also, a letter would be provided as a courtesy To date the letter that has not arrived and when I inquired about it I was told she had been to busy and it was not part of the contract Buyer BEWARE!
I engaged DVT shutters to make and install accordion shutters. DVT explained that some shutters would have locks on the inside so I could open and close them from inside. This proved wonderful during Matthew as I could open the shutters on the doors for a bit of air when the worst was over. Their prices were fair, the work excellent as rated by the county inspector. DVT handled all the paperwork, permits, engaging the inspector, etc. I was very pleased with their work.
